| A couple of tips for today. In Brisbane R5 Majorca. Apache Cat will trot up beside Maldavian on the turn give Baster a bit of a wink and a wave and the race will be all over. And my roughie for the day is Caulfield Race 8 Bellini Rose, her 1st up record is tidy and the 1200 suits with little weight. Just could be good enough for an upset. Id say to they will ride her up on the pace from barrier 1 and she well maybe get a ride of luck up the rails. Well thats what im hoping for. Best of luck. Did anyone have a bit of something on my tip on wednesday. I hope so paid a nice $2.50 place. |

| O.K, here we go, im going to try something. These are NOT all tips - they are what ill be backing today in Sydney but i thought id put them up so as to compare to the form of other punters on these boards. 4 horses for box quinellas and trifectas. 1st horse selected is for e/w basis. Tips from me for the day are marked with * 1 - 1-5-2-3 *1 e/w 2 - 12-7-2-5 3 - 3-6-1-7 4 - 8-12-7-6 *12 place. Word from source says the 12 is a good value placebet. 1/2 bros to Private Steer and is only just starting out but has ability. 5 - 5-7-1-8 6 - 9-6-2-5 7 - 1-5-6-4 *1 e/w 8 - 6-13-4-5 so, there you have it - my selections for Sydney & 3 tips for the day. Im not telling you to back them, theyre merely what im prepared to trust my judgement on. Lets see how i go. Anyone else want to throw some numbers in for Sydney, we could almost make a comp out of it for the future. Compile a points system for horses tipped and tally at end of day - just a bit of fun. Look, while ive got you, what chance do you give the topweight in the 1st at Rosehill tomorrow. Personally i like it but think it might be a little under the odds it should be. Any thoughts? | Usually in horse racing a good betting race is 4/1 the field, and for place punters no more than 2 horses under $1.80 the place. Each state is different, if you have family in another state it's handy having a phone account there. A little different these days with combined pools but at carnival time there is a huge difference in the pools sizes. Punters that bet on New Zealand races should check course odds first because our pools update after jump often. Not a great meeting tomorrow but witing till the last could be the go JUSTE MOMENTE is over the odds.. |

| I want everyone to take note... MUSKET is running in Race 4 at Rosehill (1400 meters) tomorrow. And just who is MUSKET? Well... he is Makybe Diva's three-quarter brother who was sold by Tony Santic to Woodlands Stud for $2.5million... and an uncle to Makybe Diva's new bub born last night! Darren Beadman will pilot him. Hopefully he won't be as green as in his previous races. I'm going to follow up on him as an excellent place chance first up from a spell. |
