Looking at the positives is the way to go - we got a lot of good game time into some rookies - Shoenmakers, Shiels and Moss in particular look good.

We also get pick 9 in the draft, which will be the last draft before the Gold Coast swoop in with half the picks!

Could be handy to top up the list before then.

Dew and maybe Croad retiring will make it more important that we have put some games into the legs of the kids, they will play a big role for us.

If we cna get full pre-seasons into most of the guys, I think we will be looking very good for next season.

And, we could even make a play for Lake - and that will make things look even better!

It's looked for the last couple of weeks as though Hodgey was carrying a groin injury. He was looking very proppy. Changa didn't look too good in the last quarter either, but he might have just worn himself out busting his gut all day.

here here nut.

I saw an article in which calrko said a few players out there on sat are in need of some treatment,

and it may have been a blessing in disguise that we are not in the finals as now we can have a fantastic pre season and show them all why we won in 08....

I'd like to thank all of the Hawthorn players for a damn good try this year. We all know what a hell of a time we've had with injuries so no need to harp on that, but to almost get into the finals with most of our stars out was a great effort.
Also, I don't know, or care, what anyone else says or thinks, but I was very proud of our guys on Saturday. No forward line or rucks to speak of and Essendon at pretty well full strength and we managed to keep them at bay for 3 quarters, then only lose by about 15 or 16 points. Now they can all enjoy Mad Monday, have a good rest, fix up all the hurts, full pre-season and look forward to next year.
Wouldn't a Saints Bulldogs Grand Final be fantastic?
