| Yep, looking ahead already - sad but true! Who should we delist/trade, what do we need to come in and how do we turn things around? For mine, Taylor has to go - he is a liability in every aspect of the game. Too many free kicks, too many mistakes, not enough impact and has no foot skills at all. Bailey, hopefully, will be fit enough to be our third ruck. Boyle looks to have had it too. We need to put a rocket under Thorp's arz and keep him fit - the boy owes us at least a season of delivering on the promise he showed when drafted at 6! Of course, Stewie Dew will be gone next season too, maybe even Croad. IMO, we are not missing too much - when fit! Shoenmakers has impressed me this season down back - could be a handy option next to Gilham. Maybe we need to look at bringing in another established KPD - but who is ever going to let a quality backmen go? Maybe that is the way to get Mitch Thorp into the seniors AND playing well. If we can keep fit we can kick goals and get plenty of footy. I also think we should change to a less possesion happy gameplan - buck recent trends and start kicking long and direct. Do that quickly and efficiently enough and it is hard to stop. |
