agreed Nye,
I was at the game on Sat and saw "it".
I felt the same last year at the roiund 17 game as well.
if you recall after round 17 last year i stated "we have arrived" and they all pfffttttt me off....and basicly said "your dreamin"...lol...
But unfortunately our "it" IMO has come to late for serious contention, mind you all my fingers and toes will be crossed...
I hear ya nye... |

Nikki, I said on sunday that I felt the Cats game actually gave me more hope that we could play finals - instead of what the media have said, that it killed us off!
Do you agree? I just think that if we play like that from here, we won't get beaten by anyone other than, maybe, the Saints. That'll give us 12 wins - should be enough.
Even if we don't get there, I am optimistic a decent pre-season will see us back in the top 2 or 3 teams for 2010. |

nye - "They are, IMO, warming up for a massive finish to the year - and a flag."
going by your theory regarding tipping the hawks this year ... they will lose every game from here and somehow end up with the wooden spoon |

I think the media, and a few fans, have overreacted to both the Hawks and Cats recent form.
The Cats have had a run of 'outs' lately that would test any side (something us Hawks know all too well - but ssssh, apparently injuries cannot be used as an excuse). They are, IMO, warming up for a massive finish to the year - and a flag.
The Hawks, well, we beat a very ordinary Roos side, then our whipping boys - suddenly we are back and looking like premiership contenders again! Sheesh, fair go! I think we still have a LONG way to go before finals should even be contemplated.
I'm thinking the Cats will win, and win well! |

Take what we can get when playing against the Hawks - got no other option.
Well done to the Hawks guys with this weekends milestones. I'm sure it will pump up your boys, not that they need much more motivation at the moment because a loss puts them further out of the 8 and something they don't need. |

Haha, I'm sure the Cats would like to kill any milestone celebrations, ASAP!
A 50th is hardly a genuine milestone though, is it! A 50 gamer is still on his L plates I think, especially for a player like Varcoe, who will certainly get to 100 (injury permitting). |

Well its Varcoe's 50th this weekend, that should give the Cats a bit of motivation. Just a pity that Bartel missed last weekend and Dasher missed against the Lions because it would have marked their 150th & 250th also.
Not sure the Cats will care too much about the milestones for the Hawks (go easy sorta thing), it was Bruce's 200th against the Cats on the weekend and they stuck the boot in early :) |

Saturday's game against the Cats will be Sammy Mitchell's 150th and Jarred Roughead's 100th games.
Congratulations to these two, hopefully the boys can mark the milestones with a victory! |
