| Yep Nye its all over the radio here in Melb today that the Hawks have been talking deals in regards to Jolly....interesting week. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| I just posted in the trade talk thread that I think the Hawks could make a play for Jolly. Kennedy has said he wants to go to Sydney, so why not include him with pick 9 in return for Jolly and the Swans pick 20-odd or 30-odd? That way Josh gets his desire and we get a decnt big man. |

| I get the feeling Taylor could be to the Hawks what Blake is to the Cats - useless but needed unless someone else comes along. Other teams have shown interest in Mumford & West (last yr & this yr) but not much for Blake. While Blake is current off contract I doubt he would go to the psd because no one would pick him up, and if we lose Mumford and/or West we will need Blake next yr but its not the preferred option. Hawks get a good ruckman this yr and Taylor may not be on the list in 2011, but they know that its necessary to have the back-up in case of something in 2010. |

| I think the Hawks and Campbell knew a few weeks ago that his career was over. The Hawks, I think, decided that they needed at least some experience in the ruck division. Otherwise Renouf would be our most experienced with about 30 games under his belt! Max Bailey won't play next year (or ever again I fear), so we only have Lowden and the rookie Walsh. I guess they felt Taylor was needed in case no trade deal could be finalised. IF we snare Hale or Jolly or whoever, I think Taylor will spend a lot of time in the VFL. |

| Hawks will need a 4th delisting or to trade someone, by bringing in Gibson with only 3 delistings then your short of the mandatory 3 draft picks. If you bring in an new ruckman or Burgoyne then you will need 5 delistings unless you trade a player in those deals. |

| I dont rate Murphy at all and think he no good and wont be any good either, he IMO just hasnt got it... but i hope i'm wrong if the hawks are going to persist with him tho. |
