Re:Hawks v Roos Reply to this message
Although i think the hawks are a good side and i think clakerson in the best thing that has happened to the hawks,IF u Underestimate the CROWS you do it at your own peril..Ask PORT!!!!!
win or lose..im more interested how the younger brigade will stand up after there brilliant preformence against port.no point being world beaters 1 week and then do nothing the next!

I think the crows stand a better chance of winning because its in tassie. but i think its going to be a close.. so its the crows for me.

Re:Hawks v Roos Reply to this message
Mate, I don't think the Crows are a better side at all. The tired legs come from a start to the season that contains 4 different states in 4 weeks, playing sides that have been physical and we have carried injuries during games.

By mid season the boys will be fully match fit - that is how it goes, nobody starts the season in peak fitness as you can't train for match conditions.

I just think we are due for a loss this week - if we win then maybe next week at the Gabba. I hope I'm wrong and, again, I certainly don't rate your Crows as good as the Hawks.

The injury list for both clubs isn't great - it will be a real test for both clubs.

Re:Hawks v Roos Reply to this message

Re:Hawks v Roos Reply to this message
Just think the Crows are a real threat on the big Aroura ground. Hawks have had 2 tough games in a row - Adelaide only had the Prt game to worry about. The Crows are older, therefore should be able to back up better than the 'kids' at Hawthorn.

Re:Hawks v Roos Reply to this message
jeez making excuses already Nye ,you must be joking if you think the crows will be fresher after last nights game , and your boys have an extra day to recover. if crows do have more run it will only be due to a greater fitness base which they may or may not have.

Re:Hawks v Roos Reply to this message
I think it was GT saying he didn't rate the Hawks because he doubted they had the heart to fight out a win when on the ropes early - I think Saturday proved otherwise.

The Roos are one team that won't lie down and to get a win from the position we were, with 2 short on the bench, comming off a WA trip, with some guys (like Hodge) playing through corks and such - fantastic.

Having said that, I think we will be in trouble next week against the Crows. Even in Tassie I think Adelaide might have too much run as we have had a couple of toughies in a row that have seen us knackered after the bell. It HAS to come to a head eventually - if not this week then next at the Gabba!

Congrats to the Hawks, that was a gutsy effort to get up over us today, especially with only 2 players on the bench in the last.

i don't really rate the Hawks as highly as some. But you beat us first up last year as well , so we'll wait and see. Milfie we couldn't get within 100 points of Geelong , oh you've along way to go.

But if you need it well done Hawks .

after seeing some of underbelly .... oh interstate of course. Williams won't be back for a long while.

and i think it might be a case of Braun STrOKES Dracula for that little bloke after the Roos put the bite on him.

Rioli .. what sorta name is that anyway... sounds like an Italian dish.

Boyle & Roughead , add those together and ya end up with ... Raelene i know thats not very nice.

GO ROOS .... (3) POINTS.

i will come a knocken Milfie.:)

Re:Hawks v Roos Reply to this message
You're right, Hawthorn have no options up front other than Buddy. Unless you count Roughead, Boyle, Rioli, Stokes and hopefully Williams too. But as if you would count them, all they do is kick goals and provide options!
