| Can't believe you people can't get the score boards right on the Australia Open!!!??? My reason for this is there is an Australian playing who cleaned up.. 3rd is not too bad at all so I think we actually need to support all who play and not just the better and well known names... That brings another point ha are you being paid by these other professionals just to have their name mentioned even tho they weren't successful?!? Sorry, just think the news coverage could be alot better than what you are currently doing... :( |

Last time they delayed the news for the Golf it didn't rate well and Seven's Shows for the rest of the night all fell in viewers considerably, which is the reason why they didn't continue with the golf and went to the news this time.
Brisbane got the end of the golf though thanks to no Daylight Savings :D. |

| Was just about to say the same thing.... Typical Ch.7 ... They could have not said the result in the news, and shown it delayed. What about the presentation...?? What about post match review/highlights...?? |

Wayne "Radar" Riley...sounds as if he is constantly auditioning for a TV commercial. Surely Channel 7 can do better.
I,m a good Golfer, a very good Golfer, even I would not venture to predict where someone will hit the ball ,
Im sure I could do that job with finess and leave the golfer to concentrate on where his head should be !! |

HOW COULD CHANNEL 7 SWITCH OFF THE COVERAGE? CRAZY - for the sake of 30 minutes delayed news to watch Aaron win!
Channel 7 - that decision was a disgrace! Why bother having the coverage if you are not flexible enough to continue in the context of that dramatic closing, |

Agree,
Pathetic.
You cover over 20 hours of golf in the last 4 days and when the third playoff hole is hanging in the balance you cut the coverage. I guess 7's rigged pre recorded 'bingo' farce can't be shifted 10 minutes ... or here's an idea, removed completely.
I'm now taking a razor blade to the 7 button on my remote, please give the coverage to another network who could really "bring the cream to the top".
Well below par! |

| Yes, I guess you're right. It would seem that your coverage is very bad, ours slightly better but the British is certainly the best and should be emulated. |

I enjoy the coverage hearing the guys talk because I'm now over in the states and miss home. They do sound a bit ocker at times.
The ads are bad but have a long way to catch up to some stations in the states. I don't watch the first half hour of some tounements as it is just history and adds. Some telecasts here show maybe 6 live shots an hour because of ads.
Be a bit thanful you don't have to many big stars over there. I have come to dislike tiger as he is 90% of the coverage when I want to see all the players who have to be great to play at the pga level.
Enjoy the beuty of low key aussie golf while you can |

Yes, especially in regard to Renton and Sandra. Put them on with Jack Newton and Nick Faldo, it would be worth listening to.
But I'm with Adam Scott, I couldn't put up with another weekend of Sandy Roberts, the rubbish coverage and the ads. I'll be listening to the cricket on ABC radio! Grandstand will keep us up to date on the golf...that's how attractive Channels 7 and 9 are. |

I couldn't agree more and, while on the subject, why does Brett Ogle persist in showing his ignorance when using personal pronouns? Yes Brett, there is a vast difference between "he" and "him", "we" and "us".
"There is a slight ridge between "HE" and the hole!"
Come on lad, did they teach you nothing in school?
Also, does he have to refer to people by there nick-names? Again Brett, lose the "matey, blokesy" image and become a professional commentator...if that's what you want. Drop the "Sandals", "Finchy" and the reference to Brett Rumford as "Rummy" even!
Wayne "Radar" Riley...sounds as if he is constantly auditioning for a TV commercial. Surely Channel 7 can do better.
I've recently returned from holidaying in the UK where I was fortunate enough to watch both the Match Play from Wentworth and the Ryder Cup from Ireland, both on BBC2. Renton Laidlaw, Dougie Donnelly and our own Sandra McKenzie-Wood were a pleasure to listen to. Why can't you invite such professionals as these as guest commentators?
Anyone agree? |

| I agree... HOW MANY ADVERTISEMENTS DO WE HAVE TO ENDURE!!! I mean not just heaps of adds but the same ones over and over and over again! With all those adds and sponsors surely the prize fund could be bigger and attract some bigger names from around the globe!? |

| Why does Sandy Roberts say "TURNAMENT" - in Australia we say "TOURNAMENT". If he wants to be a Yank he should say "Gonna" instead of "Gunna" and "Mom" instead of "Mum". I notice Greg Norman still says "TOURNAMENT" by the way. |

Frankly I'm sick of the condescending nature of the commentary. Why do Ogle and Newton insist on alienating their audience by constantly bringing up references to an us (the pros) and them ("club golfers").
There is a constant barrage of "I see the club golfers do this" and "the mistake the club golder makes in this situation" etc etc.
As an avid golf watcher I don't need to be reminded of how bad club golfers are, I am interested in what makes the pros so good. Word of advice guys give an insight in to the pro's world and stop trying to tell the rest of us why we will never be a part of it. |

| Dont you remember when 7 cut the coverage of the final putts in an Australian Championship saying they had to go to the news only to give us about 10 minutes of Ads the way 7 treat viewers especially sports fans no wonder Pay TV continues to thrive and grow I know I would never be without Foxtel and its ecllent sports coverage they certainely never leave at a crucial or historical sporting moments like 7, 9, aand 10 do wake up you dills in commercial TV |

Earlier today Sandy Roberts told Brett Ogle not to sing because he would turn away viewers. Attention Sandy! It's YOU we want to hear (alot) less of, not Brett. He is at least original and off-the-cuff.
One Richie Benaud said you only comment on something the viewer is uninformed about or something a player can do to change the course of his or there game. Commentaters are not the focus but the Channel 7 comms think its all about them (with the exception of J Newton) wake up and don't state the obvious guys!
I also agree with others the more groups the better I like to see up and comers too Flanigan, Rumford and Lyle plus some of the older pros who have done it all before. Cut out the ads and give the viewer who is supporting your network by watching what we (they) want. |

Channel 7 are just no good at ANYTHING, are they? they brag about how good they are at delivering the news, in 30 minutes? with 10 minutes of that time taken up with ads, the Sports section is usually 4 stories long.
They employ the worst female presenter imagineable in Naomi whatshername, she tries to appear caring when it sticks out like a sore thumb that she couldn't care less.
I have just sat for 60 minutes watching the Golf and 30 of those 60 minutes were commercials...YES 30 MINUTES, it's disgraceful, and if anyone from 7 is reading this and thinking that I don't have to watch it, you're right, I don't....and I don't. |

| Seven and Nine appear to be in competition to see who can provide the worst sports coverage/direction in the world...Seven is 'winning' this week, topping their miserable and disgraceful efforts on the racing. The golf camera men are brilliant, the experts are good (Jack Newton is still the best golf commentator in the world) but they are overrun with pathetic direction. The directors want to impose this formula of only showing the glamour groups, when we want to see all the good golf being played. They have no excuse because none of it is shown live anyway. Earlier today Sandy Roberts told Brett Ogle not to sing because he would turn away viewers. Attention Sandy! It's YOU we want to hear (alot) less of, not Brett. He is at least original and off-the-cuff. |

| I thought it was discusting, too many adds, coverage of only a few groups, expect it to improve as the sat sun coverage attracts more viewers but hey, at least give us a mention of what is happening with other players not just repetitive adds following a repetitive leaderboard |

| I was so looking forward to watching what I thought was the best tv coverage of golf in the world, ch 7. I watched from 12.30 to 5 and was so disapointed in the lack of tee shots with the driver, you can only watch so much putting. Was Peter Lonard playing. You must of gone over the 13 min allowed for adds.Do we realy have to watch re runs of MASH when there is live golf on, fair dinkum. |
