| At the risk of inciting a flurry of punctuation/grammatical/s pelling comments: Didn't Tiger do well? And I thought Michael performed and placed well enough among this very elite group of players on a patently gruelling course. Although I'm sure some will disagree. |

I like your style!
It's debatable. If I had used inverted commas, which are punctuation marks, instead of exclamation marks, then the words in parentheses would still be part of the sentence, with no reqirement for a capital letter. |

Hear Hear !! (on both counts)
.....
Shouldn't on start with a capital letter? (As it starts after a punctuation mark) |

| Thanks for your comments bro. You make a good point maybe I SHOULD ENTER THE TOURNAMENTS. Certainly could not do any worst than Michael Campbell. He does have one title thought "WINNER - most embarrassing player on the tour" |

Golf: Campbell misses cut as Romero hits front
8:02AM Saturday July 28, 2007
ALVESLOHE, Germany - Andres Romero followed up his spectacular bid to win the British Open with another exciting display on Saturday (NZ time) when the 26-year-old Argentine took over the Players Championship lead at Gut Kaden.
Romero's latest feats - a run of five birdies in six holes after an early double-bogey - led to a four-under 68.
That hauled him to eight-under 136, a stroke better than Spain's Miguel Angel Jimenez.
South African youngster Anton Haig (69), winner of the Johnnie Walker Classic title early in the season, and Swede Alex Noren (71) lay third, two shots off the lead.
New Zealand's Michael Campbell failed to make the cut after shooting a five over par 77. |

(Just a fraction of your uni education course should be dedicated to using upper case for personal pronouns)
Have a nice day! |

For the benefit of outdoor griffin
(Sometimes I feel like a schoolteacher)
When I posted the thread about 10 shots separating 70 players, it was Saturday night our time, the second round was complete, and the cut had been announced at plus 4.
The leader, Sergio Garcia, was minus 6.
There were 70 players at plus 4 or better, and these 70 players completed the next two rounds.
Check it all in the stats old son, and have a nice day. |

10 shots separating 70 players - not 70th position
Do the numbers old son - there are more than one in each position. One day, it will all become clear. |

Ron, why do you attach 'newzealand' to the front of your online name? That would intimate a certain amount of pride in being a New Zealander and one would hope some Kiwi spirit as well. In my experience New Zealanders celebrate successes and encourage effort. Respect for others is a fairly common Kiwi trait as well. I don't detect any of these qualities in you. Hence I suggest you change your online name. Replace 'newzealand' with 'mo' — it would be a better representation of who you are.
For the rest of you ... the good signs are there for all to see. Michael still has game. Once his mindset catches up with his improved swing success will follow. Don't lose faith. |

| Keep it up chaps. You are MC Clones. My god people why do you continue to make excuses. All I talk about is results. what was his fnal round today, where did he end up 70th? I dont even know. Pathetic. I actually was hoping he would do well, but after his first round, I could not beleive how smug and arragant he was, 1 good round for god sake in 2 years and he starts talking about winning a 2nd major. Oh please be VERY grateful you even made the cut thats a miracle in itself! |

Good on ya, John. Well done. Sick of this Ron fella talking utter garbage about MC, it is totally un-called for and he can't really back up his argument of MC will never win again. Golfers go through rough patches, some last longer than others, thats sport. Before he won the U.S open, had you even heard of Michael Campbell? I know I hadn't, although I don't keep up with Golf that much but he pulled off a massive victory then and could do again, sure hes gone quiet but so have a range of other golfers at this point and time.
Furthermore, constructive criticism is one thing, we acknowledge MC isn't doing well, thats cool but being an untamed little parasite who won't get off MC's back and takes onboard an anti attitude towards him is quite another and it looks to me like it's an anti Michael Campbell obsession you have devaloped and I'm pretty sure none of us are quite sure why you insist on acting like this? It's a forum of freedom of speech, yes, but one must wonder if maturity still holds a place in todays society. Grow up and move on, honestly dude, stop being a twit. |
