Whether he wins or not is immaterial.
Ron's comments included "he's an embarrassment to New Zealand", "who would want this loser in their team?" and "he shouldn't be paid for turning up" - or words to that effect.
As far as I can make out, the only real embarrassment to New Zealand is Ron. |

Yup, and he earned a tad over 101,000 euros.
He's played the last four championships (sixteen rounds of golf - 288 holes!) without going over par in any round. There aren't many golfers on the planet who can boast that.
Very soon, the door that he's bashing on will come crashing open. Go hard Cambo! |
