Tips from the dark side for Cambo
4:00AM Saturday Jul 04, 2009
By Scott Kara
Alice Cooper. Photo / APNew Zealand golfer Michael Campbell has been getting tips from original shock rocker Alice Cooper, better known for his macabre blood and guts stage show.
The 2005 US Open winner's form has been going through a long-running slump, but taking advice on fixing it from a 61-year-old rocker who was an alcoholic for almost half his 40-year career might still not seem the best option. |

Ron, for the first time, your humour made me laugh.
I suggest though, that for the main event they show Campbell's bank account, and then yours.
That'll get 'em giggling! |

| Robin Williams is getting ready to do a nationwide tour and is looking for an opening act. I send in some tapes of Michael Campbell trying to play golf. They thought it extremely funny, so they will show those tapes at the show first so get every laughing and ready for the main comedy event. |

Hi in case anyone is interested - There is a software program I download it to my computer that allows me to watch the U.S. Open live online and most other golf tournaments. I use it because a lot of times I'm at work or on the go go go!!
It's easy to operate and downloads very quickly. I was watching the Masters in a matter of minutes after I got it downloaded to my pc. The only pc requirements are DSL or cable Internet and a windows operating system (pity mac users i feel for you but them is the breaks!).
So if you're a fan the website below should give you instant access. It's worth a try-

Bow dow to me and say it, Ron you were right, Ron you are the master, Ron we should have listened! |

The excuses continue......
Golf: Campbell has back problems
5:45AM Saturday May 23, 2009
Golfer Michael Campbell suffered a new injury as he slumped from contention at the PGA Championship at Wentworth yesterday.
Just weeks after ridding himself of a right shoulder problem, Campbell had to undergo treatment for a lower back complaint on four occasions during an opening round seven-over 79. |

You are all a joke and thanks for the threads....
Stop making excuses. I deal in facts. I said he would never win again 3 years ago and that he would never even make a cut. He we are 3 years later and he has NOT even won again, he has missed MANY more cuts than he has made, plainly put hes a joke, using injuries as an excuse to milk thye last few dollars out of sponsorship deals before he faces facts that he just isnt any damn good at this level.
He will be fine as a local club pro but thats all he can really handle anymore. |

I've come to the conclusion that Ron is not a Kiwi.
Kiwis aren't that dumb or twisted, whatever other attributes they may have.
He's failed miserably somewhere in his life, and he's masking it by bagging someone who has succeeded.
Get a life son! Just remember a ten-word statement, with each word only two letters: "If it is to be, it is up to me".
Your miserable life just might change for the better! |

thanks for the info.... apart from watching
eufa cup football
some rugby
and semi finals tennis I shall look up the websites you suggest. Thank you.
Have a great time in New Zealand. If I could live anywhere on this planet for the rest of my days it would be there. Truly.
Unfortunately it has become very expensive to enter and stay in the country.
Enjoy your stay and look forward to hearing from you upon your return.
Glad you like my sense of humour, theres lots where that came from...!! |

www.cambogolf.com tells all.
And you can track down all his rounds through the pga and europeanpga websites. You'll see he make lots of birdies but since coming back from injury too many doubles.
Next tournament Players Championship May 7-10 and then the Irish Open May 14-17
I enjoy your sense of humour peenpong. You'll need it on this thread.
Speaking of threads, not sure where the endless string of jokes about Kiwis bonking sheep started. Everyone knows we prefer to give it to Kangaroos and Wallabies.
I'm heading to NZ on Sunday. Must look up Ron :-) |

read your message and wonder if we can start over again?
I love Kiwis....
I love New Zealand.... full stop....
Have watched many a tournament with Bob Charles.... Slow methodical and a complete gentleman.... Didnt know he was in his seventies!!!!
If you have the time and inclination I would be interested to know what Michael Campbell has done of late and when he is playing next.... AND why has he not been playing recently? Unless he has a website in which case I shall look another time and read everything I have just asked you...
What is the next international tournament....? |

Dear peenpong,
bitter and twisted I'm not. My sarcasm, for which I apologise, stemmed from my disappointment at the general tone of this thread and even the existence of it.
I'm delighted you'd find the prospect of Michael winning the Open this year ... delicious. Frankly, while I'd never say never, that may be a stretch. I'd be happy to see him play more golf and start posting a few confidence building results. Another win will follow in due course, but it might not be a major this year or ever again. Bob Charles only won one, but played competitively well into his 70s and remains someone all New Zealanders can be proud of.
As for Michael, I'm a Kiwi and I'm already proud of him. Always will be.
As cliched as that may sound :-) |

You sound a bit bitter and twisted.
I of course, understood what your´..phrase.. indicated.
BUT... as I hate cliches....
Why could you not just say what you meant?
Has not played that much golf...
As a newcomer to this thread... I re capped and found Ron to be (presumably) a New Zealander...
Well, I dont know why he and I should want to deride MC if he is as good as you suggest
a delicious prospect would be that MC wins The Open this Year!!!! |
