This idea of the party hole is taken from a couple of the tournies on the USPGA tour.
It seems the AGU think that having a hole where the spectators can get soused and act like fools will bring more through the gate. Hmm interesting thinking
WRONG TOURNAMENT and at the very least WRONG HOLE
Can't you just see the introduction of a party hole at the 16th at Augusta....NOT
or what about one at the BRITISH OPEN?
Not bloody likely
The party hole should be done away with at ANY golf tounament. IT ISN'T NEEDED
I think Wayne Grady got it absolutely right when commentating...A player had just missed a short putt at 17 and one of the commentators lamented the miss by talking about the pressure of the tournament Grady's response was priceless!!!!
"No, I think it had more to do with the 2000
DRUNKEN YOBBOS behind the green!" |

| The sponsors could have 18 of those holes, but that would have meant playing the tournament in Adelaide. |

| Im with Allenby on this one i was wondering where all the noise was coming from on the tv telecast now i know, nice one organizers going out of your way to PROMOTE DRINK DRIVING also well done, so what the sponsor was a beer company doesnt mean you have to get your patrons drunk to enjoy a day at the golf and create loud noise at a playing hole, then encourage your patrons to drive home plastered |
