Actually it could also be something to do with the fact that it is the US PGA off season. So while they are spending time with their families, and not travelling (unless it is to a Fijian resort or the like), YOU want them to come to Aus and play in more tournaments?
Do you want to go and work on your holidays? Hey i know it is in a different state/country etc, but i want to completely relax and hang out with my wife and son, just like any other normal human being.
And please don't use the most ignorant arguement: But it is just a few games of golf on a paid holiday in Aus.
They still would play to win, not just hit a few balls down the fairway while relaxing in our sun. They still need to go the driving range everyday, get used to the courses with games/walk through's etc.
It just isn't as simple as some of the simple people want to make it out to be. |

I think Adam Scott is a great sportman so dont get me wrong there. The unfortunate thing is money rules the roost in sport and golf is no exception.
I would like to think Tiger and a few mates might make there way to Australia without giving them a Gazilion dollers but it wont happen!!
What I do wish for is our very world class players to play the Australian tournaments without it being a headline.
Greg Norman should be an example(as a regular player in Australian tournaments) as he was a great ambassator for Australian golf. |
