Peen how simplistic
Greg Charmers won over $1mill on the USPGA tour in 2009
James Nitties won just under $1 mill
Tiger shot equal low round on Sunday
I actually doubt that many if ANY of the rest of the top 100 USPGA would have bettered 14 under around Kingston Heath for the week
They would have struggled with the precision required off the tee and fairway... and the greens would have given them the shakes |

"The question is do think Tiger will WIN the British Open,I think "HELL NO".Why people might be asking, well here's the facts.Tiger Woods is the number 1 golfer in the world because of one reason only.He has won more tournaments in his own country than anyone,as soon as he go's somewhere else he very very very rarly win's.To me World number "1" ranking should be given to the best player for the year on a world curcit tour."
_________________________ _______________________
God don't you love people who haven't got a bloody clue!!!!
World.......To start off with the world rankings are based on points awarded in tournaments played
The points are based on the strength of the field and the position placed in each tournament
The USPGA has on a weekly basis the greatest depth of class in the fields of each Tournament
Secondly Tiger has played 50 times outside of the USA
He has WON 22 Times
That is a win % of 44%
He has a BETTER winning % outside of the USA than on the PGA tour where he has played 253 events for 71 wins ....28%
44% is hardly what you would class as very very very rarely winning but of course you may set a higher standard?
So mate before you engage your mouth through your typing finger... my suggestion is to engage your brain 1st and find out the facts TWIT!!! |

First we have to look at how Tiger became one of the best golfers in history. As you all know it all came down to hard work and passion for the game, also discipline and mental power which are key elements to winning. I guess every professional golfer in majors now have learned from that and are training and preparing to match the skills of Tiger.
We are always going of stats but lose the importance of Will and Will overcomes Skill and Tiger has the Will to win and so do the other players. Who ever is willing to win will overcome the skill of any player including Tigers.
So to the Question is Tiger going to win the British Open is hard to say, because who ever trained and prepared themselves mentally and physically for that Major will be the Champion.
And it can be anyone, but who? Who is willing to win? who has the stamina to go the distance? The answers is up to the players themselves... |

What racism labelling someone "Ying Yang", as well as a total lack of awareness of world cultures.
Ying Yang is Chinese and the guy who won yesterday is Korean, so calling him "Ying Yang" has absolutely no relevance whatsoever.
Please keep your racist taunts off the board.
Kind regards,
Sushi |

Hello Phil
Have only just read this post of yours. In fact I have just asked a question you may be able to reply to for me re Woods behaviour whilst playing with Ying Yang yesterday (whether you saw it or not) the two questions are applicable.... be interested to hear your point of view...
Yes, Ying Yang (I like putting names to people!!) played really well, and showed no signs of nervousness when he hit a bad shot or putt.. a very good sign....
Woods is showing signs of arrogance on the course... dont care for that much...
I think it will become apparent before the end of this year as to whether Woods has seen his best days.
Maybe you can grab a round of golf whilst you are the other side of the country!!! |

I think that so far 2009 season will be remembered as a heartbreaker to the Golf diehard.
Starting with the Masters, Kenny Perry has a 2-shot lead in a bid to become the oldest major champion ever...only to then run out of gas !!
Then the U.S. Open, the great stories around Phil and David Duval tied for the lead with a couple holes to go.....and then they bogey 17 and so Lucas Glover truimphs !!!
Now the British......everyone's hoping for Tom Watson and he's one safe second shot away from a British Open......and bogeys the last and subsequently loses the playoff.
Nothing against the winners. They're all great players. But darn it .....every one of those had a fairy tale ending in the making taken away from us at the end. Especially the British Open !!!
What do others feel about this ? I'd like tom know. |
