just a couple of questions for ya brownoz - what does any of this have to do with a thread relating to the 2008 grand final? I don't see what it has to do with anythingin 2009.
Also, with Chappy - which kid is he to take a spot from? Hogan is the only kid we are playing and he will keep his spot ahead of guys like Stokes & Byrnes who aren't kids but played in granny's in the past but not deserving of spots.
Pretty poor trolling don't ya think? |

| Wojo it is, I would never have picked Stokes. He is a little magician on the field and will continue to be so in the Grand Final. If I was a Hawthorn player, I would be keeping a sharp eye on him. |

Probably Wojinski but my pick is Stokes to be be put out, but it should be Milburn as no team wants to have a road killer playing for them. I wonder if the TAC know this?

ONE GEELONG player already knows his place in Saturday’s grand final side is gone should teammate Paul Chapman get through Wednesday's main training session at Skilled Stadium.
Coach Mark Thompson conceded that while several names had been floated by the media this week, the selectors had already decided who will miss should Chapman be passed fit.
"There’s one," Thompson said. "He would have some idea."

i hope it is someone who was not in the premiership
team last year. if it is tom longergan, i will
probably cry. that would be just cruel.
lonergan has earnt his spot in the team
throughout the year and deserves his spot.
harry desereves his spot too and needs to be
another option to go against buddy and roughy.
i hope its not one of those guys |

GEELONG coach Mark Thompson says the player who will make way for Paul Chapman is aware he in the gun.
Chapman missed the Cats' preliminary final win over the Bulldogs with a hamstring injury, but Geelong is confident he will play in the Grand Final.
"He ran at 100 per cent and did a fair volume of work yesterday and pulled up well today," Thompson said.
"The only thing he hasn't done is train with the group and he'll do that tomorrow."
The ultimate decision will rest with Chapman, but the Cats have asked him to consider the team when doing so.
"The players have asked and the match committee have asked Paul himself to only play if he's fit and right to play," Thompson said.
If Chapman does play, one unlucky Cat will have to make way for him. Thompson said the player most likely to be dropped would be aware of his situation, but did not name the individual.
"He would have some idea," Thompson said."The guys that have been mentioned (in the media) this week have all been put on notice. Who have (the media) mentioned? Six players?
"We're looking forward to getting the decision out of the way so that everybody knows where they're going."
Travis Varcoe had his place guaranteed by Thompson after the preliminary final. Other players mentioned include David Wojcinski, Mathew Stokes and Tom Lonergan. |

Taylor won't be dropped - we can't afford to drop a tall defender against the Hawks.
I stand by what I said earlier - Loneran or Varcoe depending on the weather. |

| Wow I really can't imagine who would get dropped. I would have said Varcoe without doubt but he has been given the nod of approval from bomber. Wojcinski, Kelly, Lonergan, Taylor surely none of them will get dropped!? |

Wojo will play because of his pace - not many who can match him through the midfield when he is running flat out.
Depends on the weather - earlier in the week I would have said Varcoe to come down sick tomorrow & miss. But now it might be Lonergan as much as I hate to say it. If its raining or predicted to rain then they are probably better off with a smaller forward line & send Ottens forward and play Black 75% in the ruck. Mooney, Ottens & Blake can all ruck so it could work. |
