| regarding the scarlett ,harvey incident last year I think it had to do with the agressive tackle josh hunt hit him with after he kicked the ball sent harvey off to the bench hunt was lucky to get away with it cause it was like a nano second after harvey kicked the ball ps was bloody good tackle wot the games all about well done umpires |

APPARENTLY he was sledging bartel all day about his dad because it was fathers day. if that is true harvey is a scumbag and good he retired, cos aparently hes the biggest sledger in the game. but if that didnt happen, we never will know what really happened. so dont automatically jump on scarletts back when you have no idea about what MIGHT have been said. | Personally, it looks like its someone elses ego that is over inflated and is acting the tool. There is a difference between stating your opinion & just attacking another individual where there is no basis to do so. What is coming out about the incident is that Scarlett has stepped in to defend a team mate, so to me that is a rather honorable thing - at least its better then just leaving your team mate to be cut down on his own. I think that was demonstrated when Burns said in the press conference regarding Shaw & Didak prior to them getting suspended for the yr that he wouldn't go to defend them during the match should the opposition rough them up. Good on Scarlett for standing up for team mate. |

| well the word is it wasnt scarlet anyway, and even if it was BIG FECKIN DEAL, thats all part of the game, problem is ther is too many fun police out there who want to feck our game even more than the afl and umps have already , if a bit of sledging is too harsh for you id suggest go take up spectating golf or tennis. |

| If you think that Cat fans are arrogant maybe you should take a trip to Geelong - I have only counted 1 building in the city center with painted message for a Cats premiership this yr and that is because it was up there last yr & never removed, they just changed the 2007 to 2008. There are a few flags hanging around on flag poles that the council has put up, but not much more then that. The reality down here is that there really isn't anything around the town to say the Cats are flag favs, let along still playing in the finals, the mood is so quiet you wouldn't be blamed for thinking that they didn't make the finals. I wouldn't be calling Cat fans arrogant - last yr the mood was different, there was a buzz about thing, this yr they are keeping the lid on it & waiting until something happens because we know we haven't won anything yet. I see & read more about supporters from other clubs, especially some Hawks fans - not all, and not really on these boards - about how they will kick Cat a$$ in the g/f, how they have it in the bag etc - to me that is arrogant. A few people on here not willing to criticize Scarlett because nothing has been proved about what was said doesn't make them arrogant, but people posting stuff saying that, makes them sound jealous & ignorant. |

| Is there any chance that Harvey said something 1st - either during the game or after the game that camera's didn't get footage of? What is to say that Scarlett actually started this? The only people who know what was said are on the ground that day - for the rest of us its just speculation - Scarlett or Harvey could have spoken 1st, so how about we don't critise a respected player because its an easy option. |
