trade Blake then play Mooney centre halfback,Hawkins cetre halfforward that leaves full forward vacant.cats should go after a top full forward and there are worse than Lloyd even Fev,Roughead would be ideal.half of lifes problems can be solved by knowing what you need and cats need a fullforward bad

Ottens is 29 and has 2 or 3 yrs left depending on the role he plays.

If we lose Blake (which might happen because he rejected a contract during the season) then Mumford will become the #2 at the club.

Ultimately I would like to see Ottens play from the goal square, using Mumford & West in the ruck

backline holes can easily be filled by Ling and Corey-as these two age thier spot in the midfield will come under pressure. It,s a midfield/forwards game but backlines win flags

Not sure about Gillies yet brat. The guys still needs a bit of time to develop. Getting Hunt back in the team will be a bonus. It is a shame Egan can't slot back in as well. Really think we are going to miss Egan as Milburn and Scarlett start to go.

don't forget Hunt is to return next yr. Gillies and Laidler played a couple of games this yr and Gillies will ultimately replace Scarlo.

They will consider promoting Laidler off the rookie list - might depend on what else happens with the senior list though because Mumford has to get promoted.

ageing back line cats biggest concern and with egan gone its looking alittle bleak.the moving of kelly to the backline was a masster stroke and who,s to say that another midfielder can,t be slotted in.I hope play on but if not maybe a bit of lateral thinking needs to be employed to gleen out two more flags out of this group

Dasher is going around again. He spoke to the club a month ago about playing for another yr, the contract is being written up at the moment & Brian Cook announced at the family day that he has agreed to another yr which is fantastic. Maybe play him from the fwd pocket because he is pretty good kick for goal.

I want to see Harley play 3 more games. He has played 198 games & 197 games for the Cats. He deserves to play 200 games for the club & it would be fantastic to see him reach that total. He isn't on a massive salary, and with him being a veteran half of it isn't counted. If he was given the option of playing a handful of games next yr because I think he has about 15 or so games in him, manage him properly for the season would be great.

He has already conceded that even if he does go on it won't be as captain and that yesterday was his last day leading the boys out.

I think Harley`s time is up, you can tell by the way he plays that his heart isnt in it anymore, he has Felicity and retirement ahead of footy methinks.
He was a brilliant captain !!
Milburn played well in the Granny, and could easily go round for another year, but it will be twice as hard for him to keep up.

Honestly I think Harley should go out while he is on top. Milburn should go on, I strongly believe he has another couple years in him.

Obviously we are going to lose some of these champions over the coming years it would be a better strategy if they can go out gradually rather than all at once. With Milburn's fitness and desire to play I see no reason why this can't be achieved.

Just interested to know what fellow Geelong supporters think.

I would like to see Harley go one more but perhaps give someone else the captancy with his experience and backing behind them for the year. I suspect he may go as his future wife is Sydney based and that would be an influence on his decision.
