| I agree it should have been South Freo but two issues conspired to stop that. South Freo were offered a big heap of money to go to Rockingham and flat out refused it. In the same year the Peel Cavaliers thrashed all the other teams, except the WAFL ones, in a state based competition. There had also been moves to bring in teams from Kal, Geraldton and Bunbury but the Peel one was seen as being the one most likely to be able to compete. I aint much of an AFL fan but as it stands I support two southern teams East Freo, doing awful this year, and Peel. I see the Dorkers yet again snatched another great defeat from the Jaws of Victory I wonder if anyone has told them there are 4 quarters in a game! Sell em to Tassie I say and pump the money in to other sports we were champions at. |

Why else do you think the WACA never gets used anymore! it has nuffin to do with the government (to a degree) The WAFC held the government to ransom and would not support any opther option except the Subiaco OVal redevelopment! and why is that? THey own Eagles, they own Dockers and they have major stakeholdings at Subiaco Oval plsu don't have to pay any lease on it either so they are making plenty of dough |

| king. ALL Victorian teams at one time played at their home stadiums the last to change were Collingwood and Carlton this was due to the pressure put on their home grounds by crowd sizes. Fremantle have NEVER played at home, ie south of the River, and while the whole southwest corridor continously votes Labor it will never get a stadium anywhere south of the river coz Labor does not care and the Liberals don't either. I see they have twice since snatched defeat from the Jaws of victory. Always have been a waste of space always will be. NO die hard southerner will support them! |

Problem is there is no wa they would ever build a stadium to hold 50k people in Fremantle and you would still need the Eagles to play at the same ground to be viable. Tell me fats, are all of the Melbourne teams from Docklands or East Melbourne. No. Get a brain. They were bad against Melbourne but we son't need fairweather supporters like you anyway. Go and watch Field Hockey. |

| The City of Fremantle is on the South Bank. North Fremantle occupies the north bank and comes under the control of a north of the river council. If one names a Team after a town it should at the very least play its home games in the town. The donkers never have. They play at Subiaco - north of the river. Although I think the game is a complete waste of time I'd never go to watch it or any team labelling itself after a south of the river town that plays north of the river as a home game. Since the Dorkers came in we seem to have lost a lot of other sports we were champions at - Field Hockey is but one of those. |

| Fremantle Dockers. Never played south of the River yet so why are they called Fremantle. Impossible for any die hard southerner to support. Worse they lose a game they were leading by 50 points to a team that had not won a game all season. No one on that team should be paid for that performance. Tassie desperately want a licence. Sell them the Dorkers and give the $4m to sports that got wiped out when the Donkers arrived like Field Hockey etc. After that last disgrace you can call yourselves Western Australian and disgrace the name of this great state but do not call yourselves Fremantle any more you have no connection with the south and never will and are no longer welcome either. |
