Now that Connolly is gone,Mark Harvey will not tolerate the non performances week in week out by Des,as Connelly did, once Headland is dropped back to play in the WAFL he will get the message, same applies to Farmer great player on his day but he would rather get himself involved in something and get rubbed out for a couple of weeks.Big Des will lift his game or he will be traded to whoever.

You might be able to use headland as shark bait, but not trade bait because NO other club would pick him up.

having been with 2 metres of Des Headland at a function i have to say he didnt exactly strike me as the smartest guy i have ever met. I dont know why freo keep him.He has never ever played up to the standard he is capable of and we could have picked up someone like a wowoden (sorry bout the spelling) from the WAFL who was still in great form and could play at AFL level again

Sorry to tell you, I know Headland signed for two years this week. What I have seen I of him on TV & at games has been sub-standard. I know it is hard to pick one under performing player out of many. Youth is the secret, hate to say it W.C.E have been successful by drafting young players & playing them. At least we might get a semi alright play for the player that he is... which is an under achiever. Hate to say this as well go Collingwood lol.

Sorry Wild, I think you'll find that Headland played quite well this year until he got injured. He probably kicked 20 goals and looked good up front and from Half forward flank.

Where Freo really need to clean out is some of the rookies and youngsters who have been around for 4-5years but never made much impact in the team. Browne, Dunn, Drum, etc. No going for a big name this year just some quality youngsters to push the established squad and add some depth and speed.

Since Headland has arrived at the Docker's he has been to inconsistent. Who know's if we trade him we might get pick 43 or a good WAFL player. A cleanout is in order now, not tomorrow not five year's from now....right now.
