any opinions on the bombers draft choices. I was a bit surprised at first, especially with a few of the midfield options available at 6 and 23, but the picks do seem like very good options. David Myers highlights package is very good, and he has plenty of run and seems like he could just as easily slot into a midfield position as a key forwad or back. Tayte Pears also is very versatile and could even run in the midfield as well as key back. Darcy of course could play key forward or back. And i havnt seen any footage of Cale Hooker but he is a big lad who is fast off the mark and a likely key forward.
Given that we have plenty of young agile and pacy midfielders developing, seems to make sense to pick some talls that seem to have the ability to run through the centre but can also take key positions. In a year or 2 we should have a very versatile side. Also, our 4 keys are very good, but for some years now, if we lost 1 or 2, we struggle with the depth to replace them. With the addition of these guys to the young guys already developing, we should be able to avoid that problem in the future, and replace the eventual retirement of our 4 main key positions.
