too right King. Next year injuries to the key experienced players will be very costly you would think. Exciting to see there is a lot of talent not far off the mark though. In a year or 2, we should have very good depth in our list, with plenty of speedy midfielders coming through. The key for Knights is harnessing that pace and getting the skills up to a high standard. I think they are on the right track, and regardless of where we end up this year, it will be exciting watching the new baby bombers.

Is pace an issue? Reply to this message
Well, many have been bagging us recently about lack of pace. I have been saying for a while now i think our young guys from the past few years have plenty of pace and the future is looking bright. Its only early days, but things are looking good so far in preseason training. On the back of the credible endurance performances, sprint testing is looking good. And great to see that Leroy Jedda was a standout.

"As far as our first round of speed testing goes, these were some of the best results we have had across the group in the past eight to nine years," Hocking said.

"The majority of players fell in between 2.8 and 2.9 seconds over 20 metres which is very, very positive for us.

"We know we have an extremely fast squad and now it is just a matter of teaching them how to use it to their advantage on the field.

"Once we get our rotations right, we will have a super quick team that can be very potent. It is just a matter of executing Matthew Knights' running game plan skilfully next year and moving on and hopefully having success with it."

Of course the key will be getting our game plan right and disposing of the ball better and smarter, but it is still exciting to see this young group really committed and working hard for next year.
