| For any who have access to bomber TV, well worth checking out the highlight package of Darcy Daniher. Had heard some good things about him, but now i really am impressed. Has very good hands. Can take a pack mark. Leads really well. Kicks plenty of goals including from outside 50. But actually prefers the backline. His running off the ball looks impressive and he tackles hard and seems to read the play well. I know he is only young, but i am glad he is going to be wearing red and black and i think he will be a very solid player for us. "Essendon fans can now see why coach, Matthew Knights, is so excited about the club recently securing 18-year old Darcy Daniher with highlights now showing on Bomber TV. He was taken with Essendon's pick 39 as a father / son selection. Darcy, whose father Anthony played over 100 games for both Sydney and Essendon, was eligible to play at both clubs but chose the Bombers because he wanted to be near home and due to his good relationship with Knights. The 192 cm key position player can play forward or back but says he, like his father, will probably play his best footy in the backline." |
