Re:Good Budget
Good grief - Vaughan's Autobiography, lord save us.

I think it's called "Time to Decware" though isn't it?

It heard the working title was "Time to Get out of Yorkshire's Car Park before I get thrown out - oops".

Crispin however thought "Time to Decware" sounded more swashbuckling. A photograph of Vaughany with a pink cashmere sweater around his shoulders is on the front cover.

There's a (chocolate) Prologue by Elton John. A foreword by Sir Chauncy Boombah on behalf of the cheese board and a introduction to "Wedding Planning for fun and profit".

Chapters 1 to 10 cover the Art of limping (on both legs). Chapter 11 is entitled "You can't not select me - I'm an Ashes winning Captain you know". There's a page on "All I know about fielding". And four very good articles on "Raising and Showing Lhasa Apsos".

The final chapter is entitled "How to avoid touring in places with Flies" (see also Chapters 1 to 10).

All in all a jolly wholesome, if predictably self-indulgent, read for all ages from 70 to 80.

I'm sure you'll have it in your diary to attend and get your signed photograph eh, C3Po?

Re:Good Budget
Speaking of politically correct this is beyond a farking joke..

------------------------- -----------------------

YEAR 6 and 7 students who are "boyfriends or girlfriends" have been banned from hugging at a primary school that fears it sets a "bad example" to younger students.

Following complaints from parents, Largs Bay Primary School issued a written statement to The Advertiser defending the policy, which bans hugging and other displays of affection for "boyfriends or girlfriends" in the two senior grades.

"Hugging is not banned (between friends) at Largs Bay Primary School, but we do discourage displays of affection in the schoolyard among students in Years 6 and 7 who have a boyfriend or girlfriend at the school," principal Julie Gail writes.

". . . we want our older students to set a strong example for younger students at the school."

Re:Good Budget
Humpty Dumpty given a happy ending by 'politically correct' BBC

CBeebies programme Something Special altered the words to Humpty Dumpty and gave it a more cheerful ending.

Instead of being unable to 'put Humpty together again', the new version claimed all the King's horses and all the King's men 'made Humpty happy again'. (er..jeez)

Soon, no doubt, we’ll be hearing that the three little pigs have invited the big bad wolf to take a quarter share in their organic farming co-op; that a guilt-riddled Jack has atoned for his giant-killing by establishing a golden-goose-funded orphanage for the oversized; and that Hansel and Gretel have gone into the bakery business with a kindly old lady in the remnant old-growth forest of Tasmania.

And then we can all live happily ever after.
