Re:Good Budget
but they were printed on recycled paper kinger, so that makes it ok....doesn't it?

I'm ambivalent on the republic debate, but I'm guessing now that Johnny the Monarchist is gone, Rudd will make it 'hip' and get the result he wants from a referendum.

Re:Good Budget
if only Rudd has the courage of his conviction to now bring in the republic with a vote for the head of state not a vote for a person who will then vote on someone to vote for President or something like that! then future campaigns can be run the same way!

COnsidering how much the supposed Environment issue was sposed to be one of the key points of the election, they were all handing out a sh1tload of pamphlets!

Re:Good Budget
By the way Don wrote earlier :-

"And loki - not only safe seats lost, but the bloody PM is only the SECOND one in the history of Australian politics to get the boot. If that's not social commentary, I don't know what is!"
+++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++++++++++++++++++++ +++++++

Don that is either sicial commentary OR a very worrying advertising campaign that focussed on Kevin07 and what an olf fa.rt Johnny was and not actually on the merits of the country. Printed Kevin07 shirts, Staged Popstar mobbings by young girls, Even Kev's picture at my local polling station and not a sign of the actual labour candidate in site.

Thats what I have found worrying about all of this.

It suddenly became very American where the focus wasn't on policies but on personality. That in my eyes is a major concern.

Re:Good Budget
No probs Kinger, I know what people can be like on these boards.
There is big trouble here in Qld in the state liberal party atm. I honestly feel that there is too much 'politics' going on in trying to run this country
