Re:Second Test Adelaide Reply to this message
pretty dull mip, slow scoring rates for most of the game, pitch not doing much for the bowlers either. Australia's batsmen did their best to make it suspenseful on the final afternoon, but I had my money on a draw from day 1.

I think Kemar Roach may have nearly torn himself in half with the effort he put in today, fantastic bowling without reward.

<<<Has Johnson done anything?...his bowling has become shyte since Sth Africa..

Give someone else his spot.....he's had enough time to correct it.>>>

Re:Second Test Adelaide Reply to this message
Gayle tries to get 100 by drinks on the first morning, and then when his team needs quick runs to set a target , starts blocking the ball. And the commentators are banging on about his great captaincy

Re:Second Test Adelaide Reply to this message
There you go, 9 runs in 2 overs, its basically a T20.

Re:Second Test Adelaide Reply to this message
I still disagree, 2 an over is fine at this stage, especially with their history of collapse.

Re:Second Test Adelaide Reply to this message
Suits me fine if Australia are one nil after two tests but all things being equal there is only one team here with a realistic shot at a win and one run every second over is not going to do it for them.

I'm ducking out the front for a surf and I'll be back in an hour or so.

All the best and go Aussie

Re:Second Test Adelaide Reply to this message
so the other 4 batsmen so far are not exactly setting the world on fire. There's another interpretation for you.

Re:Second Test Adelaide Reply to this message
WI can bat till lunch tomorrow if they want, and still have a chance to win, it is not up to them to force the issue.

He has 56% of the runs, and he has been there for 50% of the time? Seems normal to me.

Re:Second Test Adelaide Reply to this message
In your first paragraph you question what I said and then in your second you basically say the same thing as me.

The way they are going they are only going to have 260 to 270 0n the board by stumps and whilst I'm not suggesting they need to do a Symonds or a Gilchrest they might want to consider putting on a few just like both of us have suggested.

Re:Second Test Adelaide Reply to this message
But yeah, I think that Bollinger and Hauritz would take many more wickets, if they had a bloke at the other end running in and hitting the top of off every ball at the other end, now, where could we find one of them?

Re:Second Test Adelaide Reply to this message
Peter George of South Australia should be brought into the squad. He could outbowl any of the 3 pacemen that are in this ordinary Australian team.
Hilfenhouse & George in, Johnson and Siddle out.

Re:Second Test Adelaide Reply to this message
Why do the Windies need to get a move on? They already bowled us out in a day for less than 300?

Their innings has been perfect, the last thing they need is to concede wickets in the chase of quick runs, if they can make it another hour without losing a wicket, they have a serious platfrom from which to launch.
