Its time you get used to the fact that Smith, Henriques, Hughes & Hazlewood will all be prominent names in future Australian considerations.
If ya wanna couple them with Wade and Hastings from Vicky to make you feel better then go ahead because i really cant see too much future representation past those 2 from Vic. |

Body language between Katich and Watto is frosty at best. That's fine by me - I'd rather see blokes shaking hands than locked in an embrace.
Katich and the "NSW push" need to think of the Australian team first and their personal preferences and prejudices last. |

Katich has an emotional attachment to Hughes???
Would explain why when last summer, there was only one innings when Matt Hayden looked any good and got a start in the test match against Sth Africa , Katich ran him out. |

Can you imagine Chappelli or Lillee or Rodney Marsh
saying that they had an "emotional committment" to Doug Walters.
Dougie'd probably flatten 'em. |

| Absolutely. Poor Shane. He must feel like shyte now. Wouldn't blame him if he trips Simon over during a run. |

Katich opens up over rotation of openers he has partnered
By Peter Lalor
November 25, 2009 .It has almost got to the point where Simon Katich walks out, takes block, then checks who he is opening the batting with this month.
The opener said that adjusting to the rotation of partners had been even harder for him than adjusting to the role of opener.
And, he added, losing Phil Hughes was the hardest blow of them all.
"The hardest change was the one in England because I felt for Hughesy. It was a tough decision, everyone knows that, but I think Watto did well and he deserved his opportunity, given they wanted a different balance to the team.
"But it's always a hard situation. I am mates with both of them and I don't want to put my opinion out there because I don't want to be seen to be biased."
Katich is not only friends with both, he captains Hughes, Jaques and Watson at state level, although the last has yet to appear in the blue cap.
Still, he says he had an emotional commitment to the younger Hughes.
"No doubt about it," he said.

This whole "opener" saga is getting gayer by the moment.
Way to give Watto confidence - NOT. |
