Re:Good Budget Mark II Reply to this message
A TELEVISION company has come under fire for having "strippers" at a function used to spruik a charity for sick kids.

It's just been revealed Southern Cross television hired the Papparazzi dancers to perform at the event at the Northern Territory's Skycity on Thursday night.

Their routine included one dancer wearing a skimpy police outfit, carrying a baton.

One guest told the NT News she could not believe "erotic dancers" were hired to perform at the same event used to promote Ronald McDonald House.

good one
Upset that they would use strippers to promote sick children, but a fast food company that promotes unhealthy eating and childhood obesity through active deceptive marketing techniques is more than welcome

"A man was hit by lightning while doing the dishes in his kitchen as
storms moved across the Blue Mountains and western Sydney yesterday."

No-one tell my hubby.

He will use that as the next excuse to get
out of his least favourite chore.

That was the first thing that I thought of when I heard the name too. I wonder if the next generation will be the i-maxi pad?

IMO they' be better off just trying to make a notebook with the touch screen etc.

I fail to see the need for the i-pad at the moment, but having said that I haven't read a lot about it.

The iPad is an epic fail, there's nothing it can do that an iPhone can't, and it won't fit your pocket.

Jobs has dropped the ball here design-wise, but it won't matter - the addicts will line up around the bloke to get their fix of shiny white uselessness.

My notebook is 12 months old, the bride's is less than 3 months old - we don't need another right now either.

Plus we (ok, she!) have an i-phone too.

Re:Good Budget Mark II Reply to this message
16gb is small.

Like nye I would wait until the 2nd or 3rd gen before considering it. Just before Xmas bought a 2nd gen iPod touch, and at 64gb still can't fit my whole iTunes on it.

The iPad looks interesting but got a new iMac & then a netbook last yr so not sure I could justify buying a 3rd computer within 18months

Re:Good Budget Mark II Reply to this message
I never buy anything like that when it's first released. These people that line up for hours to be the first in the shop to buy the latest release are dumb, you're better off waiting for them to work the bugs out first.

Apple aren't as bad at it as Microsoft, but it's still not wise to jump in early. Plus, it's cheaper if you wait!

I might wait till the second or third gen before buying one. I bought a gen 1 iphone and had to send it back three times.

Re:Good Budget Mark II Reply to this message
what do you guys make of the iPad?

I'm a HUGE apple fan but I think this is just an enlarged version of the iphone or ipod touch, nothing new! Price is cheap, $556 AUS for a 16GB Wi-fi model but I'll stick with my ipod touch and macbook

silly question Reply to this message
Hello all,

Why are their multiple threads on the same topic in the tennis forum? It seems a bit confusing trying to work out which one is the active topic, or where to post when there seems to be half-a-dozen plus threads on the same topic in some cases.

What is the protocol for answering a topic - is it use the newest thread, oldest thread the one with the most replies or what?

thank you for taking the time to read my post

the 8th here - I do know its the day ahead here but I'm used to knowing that stuff I just forget to mention it for others.

Unfortunately I have work - but the internet can be good. And I might just hook up my little set top box to the vcr to record the match.

nev - they failed to discuss that match. But I don't think many like Hewitt anyway. I don't think many of them like tennis, they just like to b!tch
