All you guys that are saying Warner should be in the team plase let me know where his form for selection is coming from. The current team which has won another one day series in India has not performed badly. Warner performed as a twenty20 playe but has et to produce as a 50 over man. I am a test cricket supporter but dont believea slogger should be an outomatic selection in ODI games.

fark 36? I just lite the fireplace here....as i said melbourne weather today. Windy with some sunny periods but lots of misserable drizzle with some decent showers, no hail so far. touch wood.

Have you tried soaking the fillets in port for 30mins and BBQing them? splash a touch more port on the BBQ plate while cooking.

I have to say Adrian that QLD need to play well. Go you good things from QLD. Outright victory

I think Mark Taylor, Jim Maxwell, Michael Slater and Shane Warne should be our selectors. They all have common sense and know what the BEST Australian cricket team should look like

funny man adrian

But I am QLD born and bred and only moved to NZSW when posted there in the Army all those years ago. But am so happy to be in the mother land state again.

Beautiful one day perfect the next!
(even when melbourne weather is upon us)

How was the whiting fillets? or haven't eaten them yet?

We went out and got a few sooty grunters on Friday night. Did them up on the BBQrolled in foil and lemon juice.

You know him being a QLDER and all would certainly make a difference from having those dimwitted southern staters as selectors.

FFS, stop the BULL$HIT sponsor cr@p and bring back AB as a selector.

A great captain and great cricketer and great cricket brain with an unbiased view of young talent.

Loki was right re. Katich being rested for the tests and D.Hussey being a waste of space. As for the other 2, I disagree that Warner should be there - we started the series with Watson and Paine opening, and both had done a fantastic job in England and the CT. Marsh also just hit a ton as an opener. Warner is not quite there yet.

As for Clark, he isn't much of an ODI bowler, IMO, and we have far better options.

I also agree that Hilditch and Hughes need to go and Cox must be made the top dog selector, he has a brain in his head for starters!

Re:Should our cricket selectors be sacke ... Reply to this message
Katich was held back to rest for the tests, Warner should be there, Clark needs game time here first and Dave Hussey's a total and utter waste of space. Yeh, the selectors are out of touch and yeh most off them are clueless with personal agendas but what do you want them to do with this amount of injuries? Even total fu//cktards need a break once in a while.
Ive been as critical as anyone regarding these dimwits but the fact is that certain selections on this tour need to be commended too - Henriques, Marsh, Co//ckley, Holland, Paine - all were positive affirmaations of the future of our game.
These lads will be a major part of Oz cricket over the next few years.
Dont get me wrong, id still turf Hilditch and Hughes and elevate Cox.

No coslb I am not Brad Hodge or Stuart Clark

I don't care about who they picked for the current series. The fact that they have players like Warner, Katich, David Hussey and Stuart Clark fit and playing domestic cricket, clearly says these idiots have no idea what they are doing

Obviously they have their favourites and it clearly showed when they lost the Ashes series in England. They need to be sacked particularly the chairman Hilditch, the biggest boofhead, who admitted to getting it wrong

Co//ckley will go o.k when he gets his shot.
Hes as much of a talent as McKay and he went alright.
Hes been on the selectors radar for quite some time now, its not like hes been picked out of the blue in the past week.

one day cricket is not first class cricket.

And I would rather they pick a mad young quick from anywhere than another Brett Dorey.

maybe wlazaro07 is Brad hodge in disguise?

or perhaps a sandgroper not happy about the selection of a little known NSW player with 4 career first class one day wickets?

there was a good article on cricinfo last week about cricket selectors. Highlighted a case in the 30s of Don Bradman vs Archie Jackson for a vacant batting position in the Australian test team, and how Bradman was lucky to get the nod.
