Re:Aus vs India ODIs Reply to this message
I know it sounds too good to be true but i would love the series to be 3-3 and in the decider whatever is left at the bottom of the barrel of any Aussie players left or maybe perhaps even under the barrel, The Redbacks, are all thats left to make up the team for game 7 and by some god forsaken miracle all the edges and bouncers etc go to the boundary and we end up with 200 miracle runs and then India somehow phluck it all up and end up being 7/120 in the 40th over and doomed to lose..then a massive riot breaks out in the crowd thru disgust of their own team bout to get done and then a Mark Cosgrove hat trick seals it... man...to see how the home crowd reacts....priceless..

I see how it works.
One exclamation mark if you're an Aussie.
Two exclamation marks if you're a Poodle Walker.
Three exclamation marks if you're a Pom.

Re:Aus vs India ODIs Reply to this message
hahahahaha
If you learnt to spell Steve Bucknor's name correctly, you might have got some decisions your way.
But, I hope everyone plays cricket in the true spirit of the game like Kumble does. Taking 10 fors on pitches doctored by groundsmen paid off by bookmakers, and appealling for LBW when a leg break strikes the pad a foot outside off stump

Re:Aus vs India ODIs Reply to this message
Ausies will only win with the help of umpire Bucknar and he is not there..!! The Cobra is poised to strike a blow for the spirit of the game..!!

Re:Aus vs India ODIs Reply to this message
Too right. I'm losing count, but I think it is 9 players injured, 2 more that are playing hurt.

Effectively it is Australia A with Ponting and Hussey!

Re:Aus vs India ODIs Reply to this message
there is such huge pressure on India to win this series against the Australian D side now.

expect a few houses to be razed if they somehow lose it.

Re:Aus vs India ODIs Reply to this message
I know Cutting won't get selected, but I'd like to see how he'd handle it if he did. Geeves is also no real chance of selection, even though he did play ODIs and is 100% a better bowler in the longer forms of the game.

They sent Siddle home because he was injured, but not badly - he'll be right to play. My post was a worst case scenario, sometimes 'minor' injuries result in a long time on the sidelines.

Re:Aus vs India ODIs Reply to this message
Cutting wont get picked. The only game before the 1st test is Qld playing at Adelaide. Siddle was sent home as a precaution , wasnt he??
Scott Muller got selected for the test team at the Gabba after an impressive match for Qld against India. Cricket Australia and the ICC really needs to fix touring team schedules for more 4 day matches against the state teams and less ODI, but the mighty $$$ reigns supreme

Re:Aus vs India ODIs Reply to this message
Bollinger is certainly a possible Test player. Lee and Siddle are injured (they may be fit, but they may not), MJ is also struggling with his ankle.

So that leaves Hilfenhaus and Clark from the Ashes pace attack. Logic suggests Bollinger is the next in line.

If the other 3 are injured (I doubt they will be, but you never know), I think it would be great to see Hilfy, Dougie and a guy like Cutting or Geeves making their test debut. Both are bowling very well in the Shield.

It won't happen, Stu Clark will get the job, but I do like the occasional left field selection!

Re:Aus vs India ODIs Reply to this message

The aussie team for the next match

Warner
Gilchrist
Langer
Cam White
Symonds
Warne

Re:Aus vs India ODIs Reply to this message
This is a farce now! Ponting has even come out and said that winning is now secondary to making sure he has a side for the first test - and who can blame him! MJ and Watson are carrying injuries too and, if the squad was intact, would be sitting out for sure.

McDonald has been flown over to replace Henriques and C0(kley will replace Siddle.

At this stage we could be meeting the Windies with Hilfenhaus as our most capped quick! Although I do expect him to pull his hamstring in game 6. :P

Re:Aus vs India ODIs Reply to this message
I have to chuckle at the commentators raving on about the magnificent new stadiums in India. The look half finished. Brand new stadium, with blankets laid over seats as a sight screen, hilarious!
