Re:Sussex v Australia.. Reply to this message
Nev at this level, nets work is a necessary evil true but its not really going to combat the tendency to repeatedly overstep. Its not like Lee or anyone else for that matter isnt aware of the situation. If his approach is need of tuning, its him that will combat it. Cooley may offer some technical words of advice but ultimately its up to him, not the Cpt or anyone else. Hes the only one that can change it.
He may pull him off his spell and hes within his rights to do so but if all this is in place and he keeps doing it, how long do you think reputation and preferential treatment will get him.

Seems to me that if people want him gone, theyll get their way soon enough if he keeps no balling. So.... with that in mind, if its serving a purpose and aids in meeting your wishes ade - please be kindly shutting the fu//ck up and turn off the brokern record.
Have a go at his goddamn hair or something, maybe he smells beanbags on showroom floors or something, find sumthin else though. Nevs right.

were all with you in not wanting him in the starting 11 if thats any consolation.

Re:Sussex v Australia.. Reply to this message
Unfortunately adrian I feel the same way about the skills of a certain other specialist in the team but even I know that we don't have much say in the matter of who gets picked in the team.

I do know what you are saying as it p1sses me off also that any of these bowlers are bowling N/Balls at this level and it has been discussed as how to prevent it from occurring. But until the coach and captian put into practice the technique of bowling in the nets to rectify this problem then it will continue to occur.

Re:Sussex v Australia.. Reply to this message
If Brett Lee is swinging the ball, then he can be a real threat...recently he has lost his swing, and that has made him very hittable because he bowls straight...If Brett Lee is bowling fast, and swinging the ball, then he has as good a claim for a place in that team...

Mate if 300 Test wickets is nothing, then I'm an astronaut.

You don't like his image, whatever, I don't care. Stop pretending that he can't play though, it makes you look like an even bigger idiot than normal.

The attack for the first Test will be Johnson, Siddle, Clark and either Lee or Hilfenhaus.
