Then again I will be in hospital for the second days play and will have some fairly strong pain relief medication. Endone I hope. It gives me that warm floating feeling as though I am floating in a warm bath.
The first time I had it in Hospital I had to check to see that I didn't have a weeeeeeeah accident! It felt good for a while. |

David Lloyd is good, but I agree on Beefy, Athers and Nasser.
I think they'll add some Australian's to the crew, and Michael Holding will be there I think. |

| They'd be the guys in the studio in Sydney, their job will be to dribble on before play, during drinks breaks and between sessions. The actual callers of the game will be the English lads. |

| Only one week to go before the Ashes is broadcast on SBS with S McGill, G Mathews, D Martyn and Rodney Hogg to commentate on the match should make for interesting viewing. |

Thommo endeared himself to all when as a speaker at a fundraiser stated calling Shane Watson an allrounder was an insult to a real allrounder, and that Watson wasnt a fast bowler **** hole.
But Thommo has never been the full quid. Remember in the 80s going to Shield games at the gabba, and with only about 100 in the crowd, all abuse yelled would be heard by the players, and Thommo used to take exception to any comment esp about his hairdo, and used to spend most of the day in the field yelling back and giving us the forks |

Thommo has always been a fark wit. At the Gabba during the last Ashes, he was saying McGrath shouldn't be playing and that he'd rather the untried MJ. When Pidge took 6-for in the first dig, a few fans saw Thommo in a box and gave him a spray. The tool leant out and said 'what would you rather see, a bloke bowling 130 and line and length or a tear away knocking heads off at 150kph?'
Almost everyone in earshot yelled back - the bloke who can take 6 wickets! |

Thommo -
"This is half the reason he's got a bloke in there who can't even spin a ball (Nathan Hauritz). Simon Katich and Michael Clarke have more chance of taking a wicket than Hauritz.
"Why go for a guy like that? I don't rate Hauritz," said Thomson
Thomson believes that team won't include a place for experienced quick Brett Lee, making his way back from injury.
"I don't see a place for Brett Lee in this side. He hasn't played for such a long time.
"Mitchell Johnson is a handy bowler but what's really added another string to his bow is his batting - he's a really good batsman. He bats properly and is a good hitter of the ball. He's got defence and attack." |
