Mate I have just lite the fireplace to warm up the house as it is 12 degrees outside and we are expecting jack frost in the morning. That in itself may damage the goods.
Have to be careful mate as I have offended some on here and other forums so they may seek revenge and dob me in :-( |

unfortunately chucker loyalty doesn't pay the bills.
I asked myself what would I be doing if I was in his position and I would take the security of a 3 year contract I think especially with the way the economic crisis is today. |

Ashley Noffke has learnt ( through rumour from a friend he spoke to whilst playing in England) that he will not be part of the Qld 20/20 campaign, and only have a minor role in the oneday campaign next year
His response is a huge dummy spit, and a threat to join Mitchell Johnson over in WA( who have reportedly offered the 32 yo a 3 yr deal).
Seems certain people dont like to miss out on the cash cow known as 20/20 |

The buck now stops at the top six Aussie players.
So who really decides who the top six Aussie cricketers are?
Will it be sour grapes for those who carry the team the way MJ did in Perth against the Saffas and are judged to be just outside the top six?
Then there will be the questions raised about the likes of Mr. Cricket who is currently either in a form slump or is worn out from all the touring and cricket over the last 18 months?
Or am I just being paranoid? |

Surely the top 7 are set - Hughes, Katich, Ponting, Clarke, Hussey, North and Haddin.
Hussey may come under scrutiny if he can't make runs in the first 1 or 2 tests, then Watson will come into calculations.
MJ and Siddle will also play, so I think only 2 places are left - Hauritz, Hilfenhaus, Clark and Lee will fight for them.
Hilfy and Clark will be my selection, I fear Hauritz and Lee will be the selectors choice though. |

Whoever plays for the Aussies will have my support, but I reserve the right to call for their heads! :)
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, MJ, Siddle and Hilfy are the three quicks that can win us the Ashes. The Duke ball, the English conditions, the type of bowling they are capable of - it all fits my friends.
Damien Flemming, the swing king, says the same thing - I hope the selectors listen! |

"If Lee gets picked then I'm barracking for England."
I'm prepared to pay good money to that for myself. You barracking for England, not Lee getting picked, becasue I think he will, at least in the first test. |

I could just see MJ doing a hammy, Haddin or Ponting breaking his thumb and Lee snaring 4-20 against Ireland! That was my biggest concern, losing the top players and gaining Lee.
Still, Lee will get picked in the Ashes, I just hope if/when he does that he bowls well and validates the faith those in charge have in him! |

Thank kryst we are out of the T20 circus..
Had we of won would have meant Lee might have bowled well which would or could have led to test recall which would and could have given the poms plenty of runs but he didnt and we aint playing in that farce.
This has to be the end for Lee and as you all know i have bagged him for ages and rightly so and i know you are all bowing down to me saying.
Yes oh great one, you are right again.
The ashes are not that far away which you all know is the ONLY cricket so I hope you all enjoy the rest of this T20 circus and may the best or luckiest team get the chocolates coz thats about all it's worth. |

Big deal, we got smacked by two teams that basically consider T20 to be the top of the tree
=========
That's funny. When England beat WI in the last 20/20 they(WI) were called minnows on here :}
=====
I'm all for having my comments thrown back at me, but don't throw the comments of trolls at me! I never called the Windies 'minnows' after their T20 with England.
The West Indies are one of a group of sides that have decided they need/want T20 to be their major focus - that is where the money is!
On England, I find it amusing that the English press are having a go at us. England just lost to the DUTCH! If Australia played in the group with Holland and Pakistan, I'd be confident enough to say we'd still be wasting our time in the tournament.
Having said that, I'd back the Poms to beat at least one of WI and SL too. |

Of late the captaincy has also been an issue, I would like to add. Creativity has been lacking even in the 1 day format, especially when to take the batting power plays.
Sad day in cricket, I must add, not being able to see a very talented group of guys through a larger part of the tournament...
Perhaps the format is also flawed in terms of ranking as well as play 2 games and go to next level... |
