mbu - unfortunately maybe that was what he thought he was doing ..... obviously some problems there and there is only one person who can fix em!
talent lost to the game but hopefully he can pick the pieces up before it absolutely ruins him! |

Sad to think that he couldn't hold it together for jsut two more weeks when he could have gone out being a star performer and on his own terms. |

On his way home alright. No more chances now, he rode his luck and got what i think subconciously he knew was coming. You just get the impression he wanted his hand forced, that he was resigned to the fact thatit was inevitable but couldnt make the right call a while back to walk away.
Ya gotta feel for the guy in some ways. I mean i know he is ultimately the person responsible for his own actions but something cracked a while back.
So much pressure and weight of expectation eventually took its toll. Coupled with what is obviously a drinking issue of some degree and youve a talent and an individual that wants to go his own way but is also begrudgingly behaving like others expect him too in order to play the game he loves and can excel at.
He had the shot but fu//cked it in the end.
Talent lost to the international game and that is in no doubt! |

I can just anticipate the chorus on here.
"Well, what do you expect from someone who spent the first six months of his life in England ?" |

Australia's captain Ricky Ponting and Cricket Australia chief executive James Sutherland are due to make an announcement in the next hour in regard to the controversial allrounder Andrew Symonds.
Symonds was a notable absentee at Australia's training session at The Oval on Thursday, prompting speculation that he could be heading home.
Cricket Australia has issued separate press releases stating that Ponting and Sutherland will address simultaneous media conferences in London and Melbourne "to discuss a player-related issue". |
