I would not have Haddin in myn team full stop his keeping is below par and he tends to get out playing soft shots Boucher get's the nod for mine

Ok, 4000 - I thought the ABC said 6 - oh well.

Still, he has done the job in Tests and ODIs for a long time now - and he's won a few games for them along the way.

actuallyover 4000 runs in tests nye but boucher should get the unique achievement of 5000 runs and 500 dismissals this year which speaks for itself!

I rate Boucher a better batsmen than Haddin - over 6,000 runs I believe in tests.

He is a much better gloveman too.

I'd have Haddin over Boucher for his batting alone.

Re:The summers test eleven. Reply to this message
I'd go with Boucher over Haddin, and Duminy must be there too - maybe ahead of De Villiers (even though AB was very good, Duminy was that bit better IMO).

Rest of the team looks good - Amla would miss out on the back of having a lot of starts but nothing substantial.

Re:The summers test eleven. Reply to this message
agree with Adrian, has to be Boucher ahead of Haddin. What about a spot for Duminy? Maybe slot him in ahead of de Villiers or does he get an bonus for his fielding?

Holds down an end well I thought, and took some big wickets.

It's not often I'm wrong, just ask me.

Re:The summers test eleven. Reply to this message
i was a bit shocked with his form over the tests, i was expecting more. Maybe now on the downward slide with Steyn & Morkel cementing spots?
Itll be interesting to see how he goes over the 1 dayers.

Good list, but maybe Ntini over Siddle.

Does his batting come into it?

Re:The summers test eleven. Reply to this message
Ill stick with Haddin. His keepings still not up there with Bouchers but hes a fighter with some flair (like Boucher) and i think his performances over the summer get him across the line.

The summers test eleven. Reply to this message
So, another season of tests concludes with some great play. With the 1 dayers and that other abomination of a game still to come, how do people see the summers test 11 from the 3 sides? For mine...

Katich
Smith
Ponting
Kallis
Clarke
DeVilliers
Haddin
Vettori
Johnson
Steyn
Siddle

Duminy 12th man.

Ponting edges out Amla, Morkel misses out for Siddle (who REALLY surprised me), Smith takes the Captaincy and Vettori shows that both 0z & Sth Africa are in need of a match winning spin option.
Thoughts?
