wp, Gallian doesn't sound right but it could've been someone from that team ceratinly.
watermelon, Moody is an excellent coach, and if he were to come in it may mean a few heads roll, he's a big believer in the old cliches of one in-all in etc etc. Apparantly Kp and Freddy didn't get along at all, which is hardly surprising.. Interesting times. |

k.p will have a point to prove now!
concentrating on making runs , and nothing else.
if we could get someone like tom moody in.
we would not be that far off the pace! |

i think the ecb , have done the right thing for once!
they got rid of a coach , who was way out of his depth at
internationl cricket anyway.
and brought k.p back down to earth , and back in the ranks! |

Could be this (from January 2004)
"Pietersen's reported disquiet was fuelled by a public bust-up with Jason Gallian, Nottinghamshire's captain, on the final day of last season which ended with Gallian allegedly throwing Pietersen's kit off the Trent Bridge balcony and then breaking his bat.
"During the game I told the captain that I was not happy and that I wanted to leave," Pieterson admitted. "After the game we spoke in the dressing room and then I went to have dinner. I got a call saying the captain had trashed my equipment. I was told the captain had said, 'if he does not want to play for Notts he can *** off.' I have not spoken to Gallian since, nor have I received an apology."
Nottinghamshire officials were keen to pass the matter off as a heat-of-the-moment incident, but Pietersen is not so forgiving. Mick Newell, the county's director of cricket, said that it was the kind of thing which happens in sport - "Like managers kicking boots and throwing tea cups".
But he was less forgiving about Pietersen wanting out. "We feel this is a matter of principle," he explained. "He has a contract and he should fulfil it. We gave him a chance in English cricket."
Pietersen's lawyer sees things differently. "What Gallian has done is tantamount to a breach of contract," he said, "and a sportsman should have the same protection as any other employee " |

Re:KP resigns as English captain (PREVIEW)
davey, I heard something similar. An old teammate had said that KP "was utterly arrogant, and dismissive beyond the point of rudeness towards teammates he saw as beneath him." Pretty harsh words, and probably why they are ex-teammates I guess. Wish I could remember the guys name..
+++++++++++++
Don't know, but he started out with Nottinghamshire, when he came over from SA and fell out with them big time, so Warnie took him under his wing at Hampshire.
Not sure if Clive Rice was on the Notts coaching staff then. |

| I can only say GOOD RIDDANCE - KP was a pain in the proverbial - he should go back to SA - perhaps they will consider taking him back. Ha Ha |

| Cook needs to sort out his game first. Besides, he is a one-pace-player. Maybe in a few years time, I'll change my mind about him. |

| At 24 years old, Alistair Cook on the other hand would not be up to Captaincy in an ashes series just yet I would think. |

| At 95 years old he didn't have too many runs left in him and the Poms were looking to building a side for the Ashes in the year 2055. |

| Why didnt the Poms consider Alastair Cooke for the captaincy. He would be the obvious longterm choice. |

Well thank you Mip
Tom would be most p1ssed off because Cricket Australia has extended the contract of Nielsen for two years , despite Nielsen having many flaws which I have endlessly pointed out, and may be open to such a position |

Poms should chase Tom Moody because he did a decent job with the SL team
Geoff Lawson is arrogant , and has no people skills, and was lucky to escape from Pakistan live
Which Adrian is Adrian??
Both are adept at speaking moron.
BTW I think the clone may be one of your Pt Adelaide admirers. |

As for the resignations etc......what a way to run a railway.
What a stupid mess that will cost England dearly.
Bring back Fletcher...I know what he would say if they asked.
