| Dean Jones was an outspoken, arrogant prk who was left out of the side for the same reason MacGill was often overlooked - he was a disruption to the side due to his inability to relate to the concept of playing in a TEAM. Andy Bichel was unfortunate that he was behind a rather impressive list of fast bowlers - McGrath, Gillsepie, Fleming, Kasprowicz etc. But he did get plenty of ODI games. He was invaluable in the shorter game, but as a test cricketer he offered heart but little else I'm afraid. |

| ha ha ha you think Symonds is my glory boy maybe in your dreams buddy I have my deep seated reservations about his inclusion over Watson on the basis of talent, however I have no sway over the selection process. To you, I will do my best to be more patronising in the future, I promise. As per your request I recognise Symonds talent, however, I recognise the talent of others that warrant selection within the Test team. I don't go by current form, rather by future promise as I perceive and based upon the current strategy of the CA board. Some players suggest great hope, but by their playing style across the varied pitches of Australia, may not hold as much sway as you may think. Australia is a team of psychological and performance dominance. You are not worthy of comment on either the competitve or combatitive level. So where do you enter the equation?
