The way I see it, both sides have handy batting lineups and pi55 weak bowling attacks.
Quite a few draws in the series is my tip, and most wins will be to the team batting last - chasing totals on the 5th day.
The key with the bat will be the two skippers.
A lot of water to flow under the bridge before that series though! |

Wrong Ne0n
There is a an Ashes series to win
As regards best captain - is there any doubt? - KP is an iconic leader but limited in captaincy terms - Vaughan is a good friend of KP so I see no problems.
Actually the only problem I see as regards bringing the Ashes home is if Warne is resurrected - I suggest Aussies pray!!!

"Michael Vaughan will be back for the Ashes to advise Petersen"
why can't Vaughan pi$$ off?? his time is done... stop getting in Pietersen's ear and let him captain the side in the manner that he wants....
it's looking like the Ashes could wind up with the side that has the least incompetent selection and coaching panel instead of the best team...
Geoff Miller and Peter Moores v Hilditch and Tim Nielsen? |

I think the decline and final demise of a great era in Australian cricket is in many ways sad - however, it opens up an interesting new chapter in test cricket.
I stated not so long ago that the next Ashes will see England employing two spinners in tandem.
Even Sven questioned this in English conditions.
The selection of Adil Rashid for the test series in the West Indies is I believe a defining moment.
The best captain in world cricket, Michael Vaughan will be back for the Ashes to advise Petersen and all will be good in the England campaign.
