Re:Aus V SA Reply to this message
If I were captain I would not enforce the follow on. Reason being that the openers are not under any presure to score runs and can relax and it gives the bowlers some time to freshen up before going in for the outright win instead of risking a final day to score runs under presure.

Even though we would have been hoping for them to be all out by now we're still very much in the box seat.

Still say the Aussies are in the box seat.Even if the test ends in draw it is still a win win for the Aussies. All the pressure is on SA to win to become #1 test team.

Too many more runs and the complexion of the game just starts to change a little.

Re:Aus V SA Reply to this message
True chucker, but never give a sucker an even break. I don't have foxtel so not watching the game, how many of the wickets have been great bowling, and how many have been saffers losing their wicket? If the bowlers are on a roll then maybe go with the flow, but if the saffers are throwing their wickets away, I can't imagine them doing it twice in 24 hours.

Re:Aus V SA Reply to this message
Dawson, Australia lost that test in India 2001 because they tried to smash 300 on the last day to win and extend the world record run of most consecutive test victories , and Harby got a run of the most ridiculous LBW decisions seen by "neutral" umpires.
It was a dry flat pitch by day 4, the Aussie bowlers had just finished the test match the week before and were a bit stuffed . Wanderers is still going to be fairly juicy with the new ball today .

Re:Aus V SA Reply to this message
isc.dawson your memory serve you well think it happened on the last Ashes tour also .Get the runs on the board then declare 1hour before stumps get a few quick wickets game in the bag.Nothing better than getting 20 wickets really plays with the opposition mind set
