Re:Aus V SA Reply to this message
We should still get them from here, perhaps another wicket or two before stumps, fresh bowlers in the morning and then a new ball. If they can get us from here it would be well deserved.

hey ne0n I'm with you and I agree about the bowlers

When McGrath and Warnie were around you just always seemed to know that it would just happen but it's not the case anymore

Re:Aus V SA Reply to this message
well by attacking, the Aussies are tempting the Saffers to chase the target and its coming off for South Africa...

most countries would have set defensive fields which would have ended this test in a dull draw..

so I dunno what you Aussies supporters want but I do know the Aussie bowling isn't experienced enough at the moment to take part in a 4th innings shootout...

this is where Ricky Ponting's captaincy skills should come in but we've flogged this horse before... out of the current set of captains personally Ponting would be the last one I want in this situation...

we'll see if he makes me eat my words, eh?

The only one left from the good old days is Punter, the new guys don't seem to have the same tuffness about them.

Good to see mip the hit and run man. hahaha

I'm staying on my acres tonight so I have no TV only internet but if it is the wicket then we should do it comfortably.

Re:Aus V SA Reply to this message
Good cameo by Siddle at the end who can hold his own with the bat.

He could bowl well here in the 2nd innings.

Re:Aus V SA Reply to this message
I think Sth Africa will struggle to get to 200 in the 2nd innings.
Johnson will probably rip through them.

Tail always wags for the Aussies.
You can virtually be assured 9 times out of ten that the loss of 3 or 4 early wickets will still see Australia get to 400 odd. That in itself is amazing.

I agree with you mostly hepp but we should give the guy a chance before we write him off.

MJ sure is starting to look the goods.

And the tail's just having a little wag.

Re:Aus V SA Reply to this message
I said he shouldn't walk.
I'm making the point that he got a duck in the 1st innings and scored a lucky 70 in the 2nd
Same as Symonds. The guy is a myth-nothing else. Had one good innings against England when he was out 3 times. A plum lbw to Panesar being one of them.

Adrian - Am i not entitled to express my views. I dont really care if you like them or not.

Mitchell Johnson- Superb with the bat in the 1st innings and great with the ball. Fantastic game. Bat him higher up, get rid of Mcdonald and bring in another bowler.

Re:Aus V SA Reply to this message
And if I'm not mistaken everyone who ever has played the game is a pretender with the exception of Gilchrist who as great a player as he was was a dill for walking because how about the times when he was given and wasn't actually out.
