| I agree, to an extent aiki. Yes, I also hate that guys like Hussey are having their positions questioned, despite 4 years of faultless play and only 2 tests of failure. Hayden is different, he has not performed in about a dozen tests now - not even a 50. I think the major difference is that Australians are used to winning, the side has won constantly, all around the world, for 2 decades. I simply think that many of us just don't know how to handle a loss, because we don't have the experience! If we can separate the past from the present, we will be ok - kneejerk reactions won't be as common as we won't expect the new kid to be Warne, McGrath, Gilchrist or Ponting - they will be whoever they are and if they are the best we have, they will be good enough. Gone are the days of the 3 day test wins and clea sweep series against quality opposition, the sooner we come to terms with that, the better. |

The fundamental difference between the Aussie supporters and the Pommie supporters is we support our team through thick and thin! | Yes time for Hayden to step aside. He won't though he will have to be pushed. I actually think his undoing was Duncan Fletcher in the 2005 Ashes when they started putting the 2 guys right in his eye line. He has never been the same since.
