"The question is WHERE the hell is the "contracted player" who was selected to go to India with the "high performance squad" with a view to learning how to play thus enhancing his chances of playing under Pietersen's Captaincy and ultimately in the Ashes contest?"
There is a simple answer to what my Aussie-friend here considers a unsolvable conundrum:
England are two fast bowlers short for the first test against India. Sidebottom's backside is not healed and he is apparently out of the entire tour. Stuart Broad has a hamstring problem and is out of the first test.
Therefore, England have taken the decision to replace two bowlers with, wait for it....
Two bowlers!
There is no point in playing eigth batsmen like Australia did if you want to win test matches. |

No prizes for guessing who it is though eh RP? Working "night shift" again?
Forget about Khan, Rashid, Wasimranamadrooter and the rest.
The question is WHERE the hell is the "contracted player" who was selected to go to India with the "high performance squad" with a view to learning how to play thus enhancing his chances of playing under Pietersen's Captaincy and ultimately in the Ashes contest?
Where is Vaughan? Hiding under Elton's bed? |

| By none of these guys presumably you refer to Khan and Rashid. In which case the correct grammar is "neither". Khan is there because Ryan Sidebottom is injured and did not travel. Rashid is going along for the ride. |

| It is very humourous that none of these guys could get anywhere near being selected until England have to travel into a safety hot-spot. Wonder how long their appointments will last. |

Absowutewy!!
After all half the Engwish Cwicket team are from somewhere else. It's cheaper than twaining limp wristed Engwishmen to pway the game.
Khan was awarded British citizenship in December 2006 - Next stop MBE!

Kent fast bowler Amjad Khan, 28, has been added to England's squad for the two-Test series in India.
Yorkshire leg-spinner Adil Rashid, 20, will also travel to Chennai but has not been officially added to the squad.
The two newcomers have been promoted from the "Performance" group/squad/cast/bolshoi currently with the senior squad in Abu Dhabi.
Marvawous! They are following my suggestion to send in the Kings own Khyber Cricketers first. Catch you in the Caribbean wads! |

Re:Vaughn quits performance squad? (PREVIEW)
Still laughing that anyone would ever mention "Vaughn" and "performance" in the same sentence!...hahaha!
+++++++++++++++
KDM; about 40 years ago my English tutor advised me that the word "performance" related to an appearance , or showing . It does not , in itself, relate to any standard, good or bad.
For example, Matthew Hayden's performance against the Kiwis was 3 innings, and 32 runs at an average of 10.66. That , as a performance cannot be disputed. Whether that should be considered a good or bad performance is a matter of personal judgement.
Hope that clears things up :) |

| I foresee a new career in cricket commentating for Vaughan with the other Great English cricket captains, Botham , Nasser WhoSucks, Michael "Cant play McGrath" Atherton and Tony Greig, berating all and sundry in world cricket non-English on their negative tactics and poor sportsmanship |

"It was very disappointing news for all the lads. I loved our "week" of practising. If I'd got a big hundred in one of the two matches for the performance squad, in Bangalore or Mumbai, I'd have pushed my case for the Caribbean. When they pick the squad for the England tour there, I can only hope they will look at what I've done in the past."

A whole "week" eh!
As we all know, he was never serious about playing anyway. |
