Oh he was definitely snubbed alright - and rightly so.
He was hanging around and proving to be a destabilizing prescence more than anything just being a general pest and undermining of Flintoff's authority. |

In australia's case, it was Australia's decision and no one else's.
In the case of the ICC trophy, it was not england's decision. |

It was cancelled after most teams (including ENGLAND)indicated that they wouldn't attend for safety reasons - and rightly so.
To try and paint similarities between Vaughan's refusal to go to the corner shop and Australia not touring Pakistan is ridiculous even by your low standards. |

"Stupid argument.
No-one went to Pakistan including England - Champions Trophy 2008 or did you convenietly forget?"
That tournament was cancelled by the ICC, you knobhead. The Pakistan tour by Australia was cancelled by the Australians. |

Vaughan was selected in the "high camp performance" squad - not the test squad as you well know. He was selected to tour India - not Pakistan (huge difference).
As we have already proved he's a selective tourist and will begin placing pressure on Pietersen from outside as of now. |

HM, let see what Kipsy is actually trying to say here:
1. A year ago she complained that Vuaghan was in the vicinity of the test team while not actually in the squad himself. This time, she is comlaining that Vaughan is NOT anywhere near the Test squad while not in the squad himself.
Is she complaining about the opposite this time?
2. Vaughan chose to stay at home due to the security situation at the moment. This is no different to the entire Australian team staying at home when their Pakistan series was scheduled. Hang on, there are in fact two differences:
- The australian team had an obligation to be there (i.e. play tests) whereas Vaughan had no such obligation (as I said, he was not part of the test team).
-Vaughan went home, the Aussies went to play cricket for money elsewhere, which brings "motive" into the whole equation.
So then, if you are prepared to complain about Vaughan, should you not be up on the barricades about the Australian Cricket team?
Or can you somehow square the circle for me please? Because I'm just not getting your logic, darling. |

"The question is WHERE the hell is the "contracted player" who was selected to go to India with the "high performance squad" with a view to learning how to play thus enhancing his chances of playing under Pietersen's Captaincy and ultimately in the Ashes contest?"
There is a simple answer to what my Aussie-friend here considers a unsolvable conundrum:
England are two fast bowlers short for the first test against India. Sidebottom's backside is not healed and he is apparently out of the entire tour. Stuart Broad has a hamstring problem and is out of the first test.
Therefore, England have taken the decision to replace two bowlers with, wait for it....
Two bowlers!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Are you really that stupid?
First test is played by - wait for it.....
The test team.
(i.e Not the "high camp performance" squad).
Vaughan is a contracted player and was selected to tour India with the "high camp performance" squad. He left after a week (couldn't stand the fwies apparently).
Now both the test team and the "high camp performance" squad are heading back to India and Vaughan isn't amongst them? He has been replaced by Ratshid.
Why? |
