The performance squad did not return to India, which is ,I would suggest why Vaughan did not return.
So if you can find ANY evidence that they did go back following the attacks in Mumbai, and quote the article, I will quit these boards. And all I would ask if you can't , is a retraction.
So let's hear it sweetie.
Happy New Year.

And your words again
""Now both the test team and the "high camp performance" squad are heading back to India "
How am I misrepresenting your words. "The high camp performance squad are heading back to India"
Well were they or weren't they heading back to India ?

Kent fast bowler Amjad Khan, 28, has been added to England's squad for the two-Test series in India.

Yorkshire leg-spinner Adil Rashid, 20, will also travel to Chennai but has not been officially added to the squad.

The two newcomers have been promoted from the "Performance" group/squad/cast/bolshoi currently with the senior squad in Abu Dhabi.

Marvawous! They are following my suggestion to send in the Kings own Khyber Cricketers first. Catch you in the Caribbean wads

You're misrepresenting what was said yet again.

I've already addressed this.

The high camp performance squad was named on December the 19th.
___________________

So how come the performance squad was named on the 19th December,(your words) when the Test team were already in India, yet they were already in Abu Dhabi on the 8th December,(again your words) when you wrote the first message?

You're misrepresenting what was said yet again.

I've already addressed this.

The high camp performance squad was named on December the 19th. Only 9 players were named. They went to the middle east. Vaughan withdrew. You know the rest but are seeking to make a mountain out of a molehill.

Vaughan piked it. He's a selective tourist - always has been always will be.

Thank god and the pommy selectors that we'll never have to see him again.

Now have a cup of tea and go and cry on your Vaughan altar for a while.

As you're around my little bullsh!tter here's a little New Year offer for you.
Now you have written on here
"Now both the test team and the "high camp performance" squad are heading back to India and Vaughan isn't amongst them? "

Now this is nothing less than a lie. The performance squad did not return to India, which is ,I would suggest why Vaughan did not return.
So if you can find ANY evidence that they did go back following the attacks in Mumbai, and quote the article, I will quit these boards. And all I would ask if you can't , is a retraction.

Re:Vaughn quits performance squad? Reply to this message
Let me rephrase this as English is obviously not your first language
You said
"He(Vaughan) left after a week (couldn't stand the fwies apparently)."
Yes he left , not by himself but with the rest of the squad and the Test squad because of the Mumbai attacks, a place where they were supposed to be playing a 4 dayer , less than a week later.
Perhaps he should have stayed there all on his own and played beach cricket in Goa.
"Now both the test team and the "high camp performance" squad are heading back to India and Vaughan isn't amongst them? "
Total bollox. The performance squad did NOT head back to India. Unless of course you consider Rashid and Khan to be a squad.

Mr Myopia; this is what you wrote
"Are you really that stupid?

First test is played by - wait for it.....

The test team.

(i.e Not the "high camp performance" squad).

Vaughan is a contracted player and was selected to tour India with the "high camp performance" squad. He left after a week (couldn't stand the fwies apparently).

Now both the test team and the "high camp performance" squad are heading back to India and Vaughan isn't amongst them? He has been replaced by Ratshid.

Why?"
Perhaps you'd care to retract your inaccurate statements?

Re:Vaughn quits performance squad? Reply to this message
Read the original post. Vaughan quits performance squad?
Nothing i've said in the original post is incorrect - as usual you go off the rails and "invent" what was said and what wasn't.

He quit because he doesn't have to make any runs, or do any work to get a free trip to the West Indies - he just contacts the "old boys" network and bingo he's selected. English cricket is run like a private club.

You're just a troll - In future do your own research and don't demand that I respond to your stupid lists of grievances. I shan't be doing so.

Whether or not you like these threads about Vaughan is not my concern.

Re:Vaughn quits performance squad? Reply to this message
Thank you Mr Myopia, you've just made my point. Nine players does not a team make. These players were on standby in case any of the Test squad opted out. No other reason.
But then of course you knew that anyway.

Re:Vaughn quits performance squad? Reply to this message
What do you want me to address?
The meaning of the word boofhead?

The date on this thread is December 5th.

Two days earlier the BBC had an article:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/cricket/england/77 63039.stm

The England cricket squad will fly to Abu Dhabi on Thursday ahead of resuming their two-Test tour of India.

England are set to play the first Test from 11 December in Chennai, but their return to India still depends on assurances over their safety.

While the players are training in Abu Dhabi, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) will work to ensure all its security requirements have been met.

The original Test squad will be joined by nine Performance Programme players.......

.......The nine players from the Performance squad flying to Abu Dhabi include Kent's Amjad Khan and Lancashire's Sajid Mahmood, who had been added to the one-day squad as cover for injuries before the tour was halted.

Essex all-rounder Ravi Bopara will also fly out with Nottinghamshire's Samit Patel, Durham's Liam Plunkett and uncapped quartet Mark Davies (Durham), Robbie Joseph (Kent), Ollie Raynor (Sussex) and Alan Richardson (Middlesex).

No Vaughan.

It's called Karma.

That's what happens when you march about pompously proclaiming that 'typos' made by others are vindication of your arguments and self perceived superiority.

Boofhead.

So as you're on now perhaps you'd care to address this?

Re:Vaughn quits performance squad? Reply to this message
England Performance Programme

Vaughan to join Performance squad in India

Cricinfo staff

November 11, 2008

Michael Vaughan, the former England batsman and captain, will travel with the England Performance Programme squad in India this month in a bid to be considered for the Ashes next year.

Vaughan has held talks with Geoff Miller, the head of selectors, and will fly out to India on November 21. Crucially, the Performance squad will then link up with England for training on December 17. It will be Vaughan's first involvement with England under the new regime of Kevin Pietersen.

Vaughan stepped down as England captain in the summer and had intimated that he needed a break from the game, but has never hid his ambitions to return to Test cricket as a batsman, particularly for the Ashes next year. He missed out on selection with the full England squad to India because "his place in the Test squad cannot be justified based on recent form". His brief visit to India with the Performance Programme represents a crucial opportunity for him to prove that he has the desire to return as a fully-fledged Test batsman.

The Performance Programme squad are due to play a three-day game in Bangalore on November 30 before a four-day match in Mumbai.

+++++++++++++++++++++++
So I wonder why they didn't move on to Mumbai.

Vaughan was selected in the "high camp performance" squad - not the test squad as you well know. He was selected to tour India - not Pakistan (huge difference).

As we have already proved he's a selective tourist and will begin placing pressure on Pietersen from outside as of now.
++++++++++++++++++
Point 1)As you have almost correctly stated he was selected for the performance squad, not the Test squad, therefore he would be travelling with the Performance squad not the Test squad
2) The squad were due to play a game in Bangalore at the end of November then a 4 dayer in Mumbai beginning of December.
3) The terrorist attacks occurred in Mumbai beginning of December.
4) The performance squad returned to England at about the same time as the Test squad.
5) The performance squad, for obvious security reasons did not, have not, and will not be, returning to India.
6)He was not selected in the original Performance squad which was announced end of September, but added mid November
7) The spelling is whipped not whiped, and choosing, not chosing

Haven't you noticed adrian that most of the poms that visit here will only "drop by" when the Aussies are doing badly or the poms are doing well. There are a couple of genuine "good blokes" amongst them that see the game objectively but the majority are "undercover trolls"
