Whats the world come too?
Redbacks chase down 310 with 8 balls to spare at Adelaide tonight.
A tie at 290 odd on sunday, go down tonight defending 310 - ouch.
Still, Hilfenhaus bowled well tonight albeit a little bit wide of off in his last 2 and Krejza did a few good things wioth ball in hand.
Time to give Hilfy a baggy green i reckon.

without a doubt dodgy at best. Full pitch ball to the left hander, pitching about an inch outside the lefties leg stump basically at his feet. If he wasnt there 4 byes for the taking.
But thats cricket. It was a Gillyesque innings. Great to watch. Great game.

as a post script to this thread...the FRC match finishes in a tie, Aaron Bird of all people scoring a three off the last ball to level it.

Dave Warner carving up again, 97 from only 52 balls, robbed of the record fastest ton by what I am reliably informed was the worst LBW decision of all time.

Re:NSW Domination of niner's boys. Reply to this message
yeahhhh, and bring back Richard Chee Quee while you're at it.

I come from the same neck of the woods as Josh Hazlewood...when he eventually stops growing, he will carve up. Has a good head on his shoulders and a very solid action.

Unfortunately Phil Hughes seems to be carrying the batting at the moment. The bowlers are all trying hard, but it's not much fun trying to defend small totals all the time.

CA lists him as being a handy fielder and part time leggie but nothing about keeping.

Warner did play that HK sixes, and went very well. But consistency as loki oi oi oi said is his problem.

Moe tore his oblique, hence why he didnt bowl when he returned. Ive known the bloke since kindy, he was always gonna be a star. If he has a full injury free season, he will dominate. No one plays for aus under 19' when they are 16 without having the potential to become one of the best.

Allrounders rarely have their game sorted out at a young age. Henriques will be a good player, as will Butterworth (yep, spruiking the Tasmanian again!). Both are still developing, but they will be long term assets for their state.

Re:NSW Domination of niner's boys. Reply to this message
But if Warner is a keeper, consistent runs isn't a big priority - just the ability to dominate an attack like he did last weekend is an asset worth having.

Australia is blessed with keeping talent - Paine, Hartley and Wade I really rate as GLOVEMEN, and they can all bat.

Ronchi is a batsmen, but his keeping skills are still more than handy, Manou is another who can make a large score.

Is it any wonder Haddin is under pressure!

Re:NSW Domination of niner's boys. Reply to this message
Henriques has only had a few games back after a pec tear or something so hes still looking for some added game time.
The other prospect floating around is Aaron Bird - quick, comes in from a good height and gets as much pace if not a bit more than Bollinger.

Re:NSW Domination of niner's boys. Reply to this message
Not sure if he keeps but he played in the Hong Kong sixes this year too - totally farcical concept and tournament but he can hit the ball the proverbial mile - sort of a cross between a rampant Kluesner and Gilly on an o.k day. Seems to struggle for consistency on the grade scene though.

Josh Hazlewood looked sharp the day we went out to see the kiwi game, he really had it seeming around and yeh...hopefully he'll develop into a good thing.

Re:NSW Domination of niner's boys. Reply to this message
I didn't see or hear much from the ODD game on the weekend, but isn't that Warner bloke a keeper? If so, he'd add something to the NSW side.

Phil and Moises both had great games and are kids the NSW side will build their team around over the next few years. Add to that the 17 year old quick that played against the Kiwis and it looks like NSW will AGAIN produce the goods in the next decade.

Re:NSW Domination of niner's boys. Reply to this message
Sitting beneath SA - WEVE REACHED A NEW LOW POINT.
The bigger picture is looking o.k for New South though.
Rebuild with whats left of this season, give some game time to Henriques, Smith, Bollinger and get Forrest back into some form to compliment Hughes. Finding a decent front line keeper might help a bit too.
Mark Cameron had a blinder coming back from injury in the second X1 game against Tas. He should walk back in at Lamberts expense next game.
Still think we were only 20 short of the win this time but hey.... thats cricket.
