You can't look at regular Aussie players as being 'missing' players for a state though. I never think of Ponting when looking at Tassies best side, he is never there, so the side competing in the shield is not missing him at all.
The idea is to produce Aussie players - at that score NSW are the best in the country. But the NSW shield squad does not contain the names Clarke or Katich. |

Woohoo
The croweaters have rocketed up the charts
are now 5th in the Sheffield Shield and
4th in the Ford Ranger cup ( but WA are 1 point behind them but have played 2 less games)
Geez, top 5 in both comps - been a while since they did that |

| It's not nonsense that Clark is not a one day bowler whilst Bracken is and Bollinger was on tour to India so must be considered OK, not second rate. I think the nonsense was some of the stuff you wrote mon. |

Hughes is a future test opener - and it has NOTHING to do with the state he plays for! The kid is talented, VERY talented, and should only get better.
I've said before, I'd have no problems if he was chosen to replace Hayden when he retires - we need some young blood and you don't get much younger!
Also pick Wade as the next Keeper - that gives us a good blend of youth and experience. |

| I'm not an electrician either mon but I don't get uptight about another state. How many one dayers has Clark been playing again? This was a one day game o bright one and if my memory serves me right Clark is very much on the oputer for the one day game. You get 1/2 a point. |

I'm not a NSWelshman, sparky.
The first-rate NSW attack contains Lee and Clark. The second-rate one doesn't. |

| Didn't know you NSWelshman were so touchy mon. Also didn't know Bracken (currently regular member of one day side) and Bollinger (India tourist) were second rate. Tom does have an average slightly below 44 with a high score of 66 in three shield games. Not a bad start to your career. Yes, the NSW bias is stupid, thanks for saying so. |

| So Tom Cooper the former Blue who hit his hundred in near even time is not an Oz option in the future? Does he have to go back and wear a blue cap before he gets a baggy green? |

| Warner would be a great one day player for Australia for sure. Not sure if he'd have the patience for test cricket. |

Warner and Hughes are very good players but the rest of the NSW "All Stars" are very oridinary.
Hughes isn't a one day player yet - more of a future test match option.
Warner is one of the country's hardest hitters - was great to watch but he wasn't there long enough. |

If there was ever a chance for the "Wild Thing" Tait to step up and prove he is of international standard , it was last night at the Gabba against an ordinary Qld line-up defending a small total. Again, he failed to live up to his hype.
yet another shortened Ford Ranger match. Has there been one at the Gabba this year that has gone the full distance?? |
