| They are all Australian, but the term 'Aboriginal' is used to describe native Aussies. Much like Indian is used to describe people from India, but they are still ASIAN. Then there is the term 'Bellboy' that is given to those not worthy of consideration in any subsection of human society. |

| Kinger, I know Katich is a WA boy, but he plays for NSW - ditto Casson. When people look at the 'selection bias' they tend to focus on the colour of their state cap - not their birth certificate. |

| SA has given the Chappell Bros, Victor Richardson (ok, so they're all related, but this is SA!). SA has actually been quite a productive feeder state for the test team over the years, but of late they have been quite poor - then again, so has Victoria. On the QLDer issue. I love the QLD mentality of 'everyone is against us'. It works for them, but it never has any logical basis. I used to hear it all the time, when a QLDer was overlooked for the test team they cry "they just don't want Queenslanders in the side", but when the guy gets picked they scream "they just don't want Queensland winning another shield!". You've gotta laugh. Bill Brown was a great QLD test player btw. |

Qlder born and bred 71 tests 291 test wickets at 28.63 b/b: 8/97 batting avg was only 12.20 could be handy on occasion 138 ODI's with 203 wickets at 24.71 b/b: 5/44 Came in to hit sixes late in the innings and had a famous innings alongside merv hughes where they traded sixes of England I think in a onedayer in the early 90's - pls correct me if i am wrong. He helped build the basis for Australia's resurgence in test and ODI's alongside Border, Waugh twins, McGrath, Taylor, Lee, Warne and Healy |
