I'm sure it is a very good read, still doesn't stop one from wanting to smack him over the head with a copy of the book.
With the stuff he writes it seems to be a case of trying to weed out when he is being serious, because he writes so much cr@p that you tend to read everything as him taking the p!ss out of the subject. |

Hey, I own a copy of 'The Hard Way - the history of the Hawthorn Football Club' it is a great read - though my copy was printed well before Buddy arrived, so the updated version will give me that little bit extra!
Hahaha, he just writes his rubbish to get bites, and he succeeds all the time. He is getting more and more obvious though - he used to be a master at writing stuff where you really can't tell if he's taking the pi55 or not. |

Of course Buddy could do that - Buddy is perfect in every way brat! He'd open the bowling, take 8-5 (he'd let someone else get a couple - he's a team player). THEN he'd open the batting and make a lazy double hundred before graciously retiring his innings so that his mates can bat (again, team player!).
Awesome fieldsmen too.
Oh, and one the day's play is finished, he'll pop over to the homless shelter and personally feed 250 starving street kids with food he has made himself (starting with the killing of the animal of choice and growing all associated vegetables).
Missing browny yet? :P |

| 200 is a good enough score to take a lead into the second dig - we just have to get there first! |

| With more rain certain for tonight, it will be hard work tomorrow and day 3 as well. This test won't go any longer than that. |

Punter said he would have batted anyway. the moisture is only here for a few hours, the rest of the test is a Gabba test. NZ were duped by the Aussie media into bowling first... Hahah.
Considering Vittori is a spinner, he doesn't really have a lot of faith in his own spin perhaps... |

| Matthews and Border both got 100s in the 2nd dig. The Aussie bowling attack was pretty ordinary though. |

| Chucker, the trouble is the Kiwis in that match then bowled the Aussies out again in the second dig for Sweet FA! That match was more a result of a massive class divide between Hadlee and the Aussies. |

| I was listening to Hussey talk before the national anthem and the way he was speaking it sounded like Punter wanted to bowl. How many times does the captain that loss the toss actually say they would have done something other then what they have been sent to do - they tend to try & sound positive. |

The test that highlights my theory would be the 85-6 test vs NZ . Australia batted first on a cloudy day with little rain. Hadlee got a 9 for and rolled the Aussies for about 150. Cloud cleared overnight, and with little rain, pitch was perfect and in the heat, NZ made about 600 over the next couple of days.
If it has rained and the pitch area is wet, you bowl |

| Chucker, I've seen way too much to the contrary to agree with that. I'm at the Gabba quite a lot of Shield and Tests. Each time you see the rain/cloud etc everyone at the ground says "bowl first", but it tends to work out the other way - teams batting first win at the Gabba far more often than they don't, even in these conditions. |

| I'd bowl on a matted concrete pitch if it was a cloudy day chucker. Chuck in a little breeze across the pitch and anyone holding the seam upright will get swing. I know that for a fact. I was a shyte bowler but even I was getting the ball to move through the air one day when it was cloudy and humid and there was a breeze blowing across the pitch. Those conditions made me look so good I even took a 3 for. lol |

| If the ground is moist , and it is cloudy, always send the opposition in at the Gabba. If it is a clear day and hasnt rained in the last day or so, bat. |

| brat, on the radio after the toss Punter said "I probably would've batted anyway, it tends to be harder to bat on in day 2". |
