Re:Aus V NZ Reply to this message
A very nice knock by the Aussie Vice-Captain. Got us out of trouble with some very un-selfish play.... Hope KP was watching a true batsman at work playing for his team...He might have learnt something.

Re:Aus V NZ Reply to this message
The K1 batting lineup consists of Taylor, MCCullum and Vettori. The top 5 are there purely to get the shine off th ball before the real batting arrives.

Re:Aus V NZ Reply to this message
Doesn't help Clarke that the Kiwis have put 5 in he outfield when he's on strike either - it is singles or nothing really.

If Clark does his job and hangs around, the Kiwis may find this pair has added 40 or 50 without raising a sweat!

Re:Aus V NZ Reply to this message
No probs, if I read someone saying that if KP does it, I'LL lead the way in condemning it as stupid!

A batsmen is there to bat and make a score, if he doesn't take runs when they are on offer he is not doing his job.

Re:Aus V NZ Reply to this message
WTF? How is batting with respect for your partner not being a team player?

The Aussies, led by S.Waugh, have taken to batting properly at all times - have faith in the tail and they will reward you.

69.1 Martin to Clarke, 1 run, full and wide outside off and he drives square to deep cover and gets off the strike

YEah, that's better. Oh wait..:

69.2 Martin to Clarke, 1 run

Anyone from the "KP is not a team player" crew, feel free to comment on your-vice captain's performance here please.

66.1 Vettori to Clarke, 1 run, flighted outside off, he rocks back and cuts to sweeper cover
Vettori returns for his second spell

Marvewous batting by captain Bingle. Selfish player who is only interested in protecting his average.

68.1 Vettori to Clarke, 1 run, goes on the backfoot to a straighter ball and works it wide of mid-on

Re:Aus V NZ Reply to this message
Will Clarke farm the strike?

67.1 Martin to Clarke, 1 run, slides on the pads and he thinks it two as soon as he whips it past midwicket, but the throw is good and Clark will face the music
The deep on the on side is packed.

Re:Aus V NZ Reply to this message
Well, there has been 2 matches at the Gabba so far this season in the Shield.

Of the 7 completed innings, 6 have been scores lower than 250! 4 have been 150 or less and 1 was just 62.

Qld also made 236 in the game they got rolled for 62 in, but were 8 for 90 something!

This score is by no means a killer for the Aussies.

Re:Aus V NZ Reply to this message
Cricket Australia has formally requested the Australian wicketkeeper change his name to Brad Haddout, because he doesnt bat long enough to warrant Haddin.

Can't really up Haddin with the scorecard as it is, but Ronchi and Paine will be getting a couple of little butterflies about now - you never know!

Re:Aus V NZ Reply to this message
Probably was out. No sympathy if you dont play a shot, and the bowler rightfully given benefit of the doubt.
But, Rudi will make a at least one clanger sometime during this test match. He and Bucknor have been really bad for years now, but somehow still manage to rock up for test matches.

Umpire Rudi strikes again
FFS will the ICC get rid of him. He should have been booted last year after his shameful decision denied Sangakarra his double century . Sanga only missed it by three foot , Rudi.

Well, 4th wicket has fallen and the 'chosen one' is at the crease. Hmmmm, wonder if a sudden change in form will come now he's back in the side?

Re:Aus V NZ (PREVIEW)
Hayden out on 8. The sight screen was probably bothering him. Or maybe one of the spectators in the stands was chewing a candy.
------------------------- ------------------------- --------
Was the sighscreen stinky. Words below taken from Baggy Green. :)
Hayden walks down the pitch and has a word with Billy Doctrove. Sightscreen issues.
