| There is another option for when Hayden retires - depending on which players at domestic level are in form they could always insist that Hussey moves back to opener and someone like his brother steps into the middle order. Marsh & Rogers aren't going along too bad, but Hussy & even Hodge have been in pretty good form over the last couple of years and deserve a chance at the top level if one becomes available. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| I am waiting for Mip to log on to tell us all what a c.rock and bunny Simon Katich is . Will the selectors persist with Matt Hayden??? Dont see them dropping him after his 99th test, but maybe he may get a tap on the shoulder to say Adelaide may be his farewell. Would be nice for his replacement to get a bat at Adelaide against the kiwis rather than the Sth Africans first test. |

| Simon Katich is into the 30's now. It is VITAL he goes on with it now, he is in and he needs to lead from the front - hopefully with support from Symonds, Watson, Haddin and the tail. If we lead by 250 it will be very hard for the Kiwis, lead by 300 and it is impossible for them. A Katich 100 will kill the game. |

| Venkat was a shocker - watched him umpire the home series in Sri Lanka vs Australia during the series when Waugh and Dizzy ran into each other. He was giving Aussies out LBW left right and centre( to the chucker no doubt) , but no Sri Lankans, and turning down obvious caught behinds on nonwalking Sri Lankans. Must have been worried that Ranatunga was going to sit on him |

| Can't see too many people complain if either or both Taufel or Bowden was used during the current series. The Indians would see it as an insult to their country and demand that CA apologize immediately. PS - Do India have any umpires? (Not that I'd be keen to use them - might be Harby's brother). |
