Re:Cricket tipping comp. Reply to this message
Nice tipping chucker, but can anyone explain this?

off the ladder page

This week's winner is chucker_khan with a weekly score of 5 who has the lowest weekly margin of 19. The actual margin was 131.
++++++++++++++++++++++++
I presume this relates to highest individual score , Katich's 131. But there were closer guesses.

Re:Cricket tipping comp. Reply to this message
I tipped Aus < 300 NZ < 300 and top score Aussie 112.
Aussies were always going to struggle on a green Gabba pitch having stepped straight off the Delhi express

Had the Kiwis for under 300 first dig. Also got highest score of 135. Fat chance of that.

I confess, I had the Aussies over 300 first innings...I should have changed it when they had been put in to bat :(

Re:Cricket tipping comp. Reply to this message
He gets around. Is there anything in the broadcasting world that Rupert can't get his hands on?

I guess this means that the broadcast t.v rights for the Ashes has yet to be finalised yet, huh(!)

Re:Cricket tipping comp. Reply to this message
The ECB has sold the rights to Sky Sports in the UK, which will negotiate deals with other broadcasters. Sky Sports is owned by Rupert Murdoch, so I would guess that one of his Australian Subsiduaries will show it. And that probably means PPV.

Hey friends - Anyone know which of the network/s own the broadcasting rights of the 2009 Ashes tests series?
Been on the ACB website and there's no info available.

Re:Cricket tipping comp. Reply to this message
For the Poms, I think Loki can fly to the Uk imbibing about 20 cans of Fosters on the flight over, and once at Heathrow, the beer ( having been filtered through the kidneys) can be collected in a bottle, and passed on to the winning tipster. Will taste like English beer
