Chucker, there are plenty of issues Kipsy needs to apologise for, before Sven even has to consider his.
Going back about 30 months or so.
I do feel the Australian side of this board needs to take a more balanced view of this situation. |

| Allright then, I no longer blame Kipsy for the story. But still I think that "snub" is the wrong word for what had happened because it suggests that Strauss was treated unfairly. Which is not the case. |

Hi Kipsy, I have shown in this thread that Strauss was not "snubbed". The snubbing is an invention by yourself, as you do all the time.
Are you ever going to take responsibility for your word-twisters?

The original post included a link to a Foxsports story.
I have checked out the link, the story title and text have been accurately quoted by Kipsey but I suspect you already know that.
You and your pals truly are f/u/k/n trolls.

And how about that apology that you surely owe me? Didn't they teach you proper manners at girl-school? |

i think pietersen is way too self centered?
nothing wrong in that, when he can play like he does.
but england captain?
i hope he does well, but strauss is older,a bit more mature
and looks more of a team man! |

| . He singled out an encouraging sign that senior members in the team had welcomed Pietersen's appointment, after batsman Andrew Strauss admitted his disappointment in losing out on the captaincy race. Strauss said he eyed the Test captaincy but agreed Pietersen was the best person for the job, given that he's a regular in the XI in all three formats of the game. |

Vaughan and Ponting have always captained when playing ( to date) since appointment

| The point is, my pretty little fudgepacker, that Strauss did not say he felt he deserved another chance. The wrong spin on it yet again. He said that when the selectors decided on a captain for all forms that reduced the choices down . |

Slight English lesson here, Kipsy (yes, ENGLISH, not Ausrtalian):
snub: To dismiss, turn down, or frustrate the expectations of.
Strauss was not dismissed ( he didn't have the job), not turned down (he didn't "apply" for it) and wheter he is frustrated or not is up to him.
Therefore, he was not snubbed, he simply wasn't picked. |

| Strauss ,was also born in SA, so even if they did appoint him as captain, it would have been the same outcome |

So, oh visually disadvantaged one, please share with us your pearls of wisdom.
As Strauss does not figure in the one day side , whom would you have as skipper? |

| What a slap in the face for any aspiring young (pom)cricketer wanting to captain England one day but will be overlooked because they prefer players from other countries to captain instead. |

Is that you Ginger - 'cos it sure sounds like you?
Nothing was "edited or censored" which is why I gave you the link - duh!
The article was too large to include in it's entirety.
The title and content was quoted accurately.
If you don't like it - that's your problem. |

So here's the version before it was edited/censored by Kipsy
"The selectors had a decision to make. They spoke long and hard about which direction they wanted to go in," Strauss told AFP. "If they wanted a captain for all three formats including Twenty20, the list would have been short. I'm not involved in two of the formats and Alastair Cook hasn't been in the Twenty20 side recently. I would have liked to have done the Test job and, to that degree, I am disappointed I have not been given the opportunity."
Puts a different interpretation on it don't you think ? |
